Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Law of Apocalypse

Spawn and Adam appeared back in the undead's home world.

Everything seemed to have a grey tint to it as time was paused.

Looking around they both noticed they were back in the cemetery at the point in time where Adam had just removed the heart of Tommy's friend.

They could see the old and much weaker version of the undead peaking at them from the corner of its vision, unable to move but still able to think while time was stopped.

"A remarkable willpower." Spawn said, approaching The old Adam. He placed a hand on his shoulder and he was immediately transported to the laboratory in the Beyond.

"Let's just call you A-1 since there'll definitely be more of you." Spawn said, looking at the evolved Adam, who had taken the spot of his previous self.

"Un." A-1 grunted a sigh of approval.

"Welp, you can do whatever you want now!" Spawn said, becoming unnoticeable and resuming time.

"YOU FUCKER!!" Tommy yelled as soon as sound could be heard. This caused A-1 to turn around and ignore the falling body behind him.

His overall appearance had changed and Tommy noticed but couldn't make sense of it.

His height had increased by almost two feet and he had became many times more built. His shoulders had become much broader with his forearms thickening.

He wore black pants with a brown belt that kept his blue shirt tucked in. Over that was a blue coat that seemed a little to small for him that was filled with holes like the rest of his clothes. His skin was rotten and grey showing how undead he truly was.

Even his mask was broken at the bottom, revealing his mouth that wasn't as deformed as before, but still just as frightening.

His eyes had lost their touch, as what before made him seem somewhat human, were now just dark holes.

He had truly become a demon.

"Tommy..." A-1 growled with his deep and raspy voice, making Tommy shiver with fear.

"What the hell... You can talk now!?" He said with panic, picking up the can of gasoline behind him.

"Fuck!" He cursed while opening the can.

A-1 lifted his arms up, giving them a good few cracks while looking at the boy in front of him with an eerie smile.

"Tch"

With the open gas can Tommy motioned towards A-1, letting the gasoline touch each and every part of his body as he stood still taking it all in.

"Heh." A-1 chuckled, waiting for a few moments as Tommy attempted to light a match.

"What the hell!" He panicked as water dripped on him. Slowly, clouds appeared above the two as water rained down over them.

"Plants need water." A-1 Chuckled, feeling the water as it touched his palms.

Thanks to a certain evolution, A-1 was able to feel weather and know when it was coming, even controlling it to an extent.

As even though he was fireproof he didn't enjoy being burnt, but he knew Tommy's efforts would be in vain because of the coming rain.

"Jesus Christ!" With somewhat quick thinking, Tommy turned around and dashed for his car, A-1 smiling and following after with a unnatural walking speed.

With each unbelievably long stride of his, it seemed as if he was floating.

He chased after the running Tommy, letting him reach his car at the last second.

*Slam!*

The car door was slammed shut as Tommy started his truck, speeding off as fast as he could.

"Hehe, scary." A-1 chuckled watching as Tommy left him behind in the cemetery.

"Why'd you let him go?" Spawn asked, revealing himself as he towered over A-1's shoulders.

"Hope." He responded.

"He think he live. He get help. More kill." A-1 said.

He was truly addicted to killing.

...

A-1 sped down the streets of the Forest. He used his senses to the fullest to hunt down each and every human soul he came across.

Clearly the speed cars moved at were no match for his teleportation.

"AHHHH!!!" A scream sounded throughout the woods as A-1 finished slaughtering a random couple.

"Quiet." He muttered, turning towards the trees and teleporting with a gust of black smoke.

*Slice*

His hand cut through the young teens body with unbelievable ease.

"Hah!" He laughed maniacally, taking the woman's head and biting into it as if it was an apple.

"It seems giving you more intelligence made you more psychopathic." Spawn murmured over A-1 shoulders, still being unseen but being heard.

"Well it does make sense. The trauma you've been put through is immense, and basically all you know is murder."

"Fun." A-1 responded, tossing the body away and teleporting farther into the forest.

"Did you hear that?" A simple sentence caught the attention of the two godly beings, making A-1 teleport over to them almost instantly.

There was a couple that had stopped on a back route towards the lake. They had packed quite a bit of gear, so even without peering into their minds Spawn could infer what they were here for.

"They're definitely heading to the lake, they might be campers." He whispered to A-1.

He stomped towards the stopped car, gaining there attention. They both swiftly turned their necks to see what the commotion was but saw nothing.

A-1 had already teleported, appearing in front the road before them.

"Derrick... We better turn around." The woman in the drivers seat said cautiously, staring into A-1's ominous eyes.

"What do you mean?" Derrick responded, slowly looking towards where J-1 was. "Holy shit." he muttered, clearly scared by the sight of the massive being.

"Ye-"

*Slice*

With a single motion, half the car was cut , a diagonal line appearing across Derrick's body as he fell apart just like the car.

Appearing On top of the car, A-1 pried it apart before yanking the woman, Lizabeth, right from her seat, snapping the seat belt with ease.

"Hello." He said with a smile, before his face was battered with punches and slaps, screams echoing off the trees simultaneously.

"AHHHH!! LET GO!!!" Lizabeth yelled, tears rolling down her face as she continued to scream.

Wanting to toy with her, A-1 deliberately dropped her after receiving her strongest hit.

*Plop* She bounced on the ground, groaning before she quickly got to her feet.

"Derrick!" She yelled, looking through the car window and seeing the mangled body of her brother.

"Oh god..."

Not daring to look back, she made a dash for the woods with teary eyes.

*Plop*

A-1 dropped to the ground, striding after the escaping woman.

"Fun..." He muttered with a merciless tone laced into his words.

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!" Lizabeth yelled quietly, trying her hardest to escape from the demon who she encountered.

She dashed through the woods, not stopping until she could see the clearings.

"I'm almost there!" She said with slight relief, looking through the trees and seeing the dark campsites.

She quickly reached the clearing, her hope at its peak.

"SOMEBODY HELP!" She yelled, a small smile appearing on her face, thinking someone would be there to save her.

*Slice*

She fell face first, indescribable pain felt in her leg. She looked down, and saw everything past her knee missing, with A-1 towering over her.

"No, escape." He said, spawning overwhelming fear in the girls heart. Unfortunately for A-1, the overwhelming fear would quite literally be the death of her.

Her heart couldn't bear the stress, and before A-1 could realize, she had died of a heart attack.

She was dead on the ground before he could even deliver the final blow.

"Tch." He grunted, slight anger forming within him.

"It's fine. You'll have more kills tomorrow when people arrive here, this is your home after all." Spawn said, the two looking up at the cabin filled clearing before them.

"Camp Green Forest...."

...

A-1 had decided to wait on finishing his massacre. It was now Friday the 13th and the camp was actually occupied unlike last night.

Well it was occupied...

He stood towering over the 4 bodies of the young counselors. He had a true hate for any camp counselor ever since his past encounters.

Thanks to the assistance of Spawn, the children that would've arrived today had been stopped.

"You've gone on quite the killing spree... A total of 29 people so far." Spawn said, looking at the bodies.

"Kill Tommy, then satisfied." A-1 muttered, looking towards Spawn who he now considered a father figure.

"Oh, I would've thought you wanted more!" Spawn chuckled.

"Travel, kill stronger. Think they strong, but I stronger. Pride crushed." A-1 explained his plan, making Spawn marvel at his newly gained intelligence.

It seems A-1 had truly become devilish.

Though…

~This is getting boring...~ Spawn was quickly losing interest in this incredibly easy game of predator and prey.

"Just call on me when you've completed everything you've wanted." Spawn sighed, disappearing off the face of the earth.

...

Inside of a very familiar laboratory, which had grown in size, was a multitude of chambers. Most of which were filled with pieces of multiple different corpses.

"What a task." Spawn said, looking through the glass and staring at the specimen covered engulfed in yellow liquids.

"But it definitely gives me the joy I need."

Seeing as how A-1 was so easily able to evolve and adapt to things while merely being cursed by a supernatural book, made Spawn wonder how powerful a hand made creation could be.

A species that had every single strand of DNA hand picked and created.

He had to decided to make a destructive species to fulfill a certain task.

A bloodline, that would exist solely for apocalypse.

After all, the inhabitants of his reality would never grow without a driving factor.

It would be an entertaining thing to watch, and it served a better purpose anyway.

To fracture all realities themselves.

He had decided to create this species, which would act as a natural phenomena that shattered Realities and made branching sub-realities.

This would create interesting timelines where things where reality played out differently from the main reality, be it with minute differences or incredible ones.

With this branching of realities, the other inhabitants of the entire reality would try to reform their home which would create conflict which caused them to grow exponentially in power!

~Though that's for another time.~ He thought, reading the list of abilities that would be given to this brand new species.

~Apocryphal essence embedded deep into their very being...~ He stated.

This addition of the Supreme Law essence would be what gave them a good amount of their power.

Law Essences were a type of energy that came to fruition under the Runic Ecriture of that law.

For example, Apocryphal Essence was the essence of the Supreme Law of Apocalypse.

Using this law essence, one could bring great destruction onto another existence.

Apocryphal Essence exists in every kind pf destruction, and can be harvested if an existence is experiencing something that is considered apocalyptic.

Essences could be divided into four ranks, those being Lesser, Greater, Supreme, and Taboo.

Apart from these laws were the Natural Laws of Realities. Even the weakest of these laws would hold more authority than Supreme laws, with only Taboo Laws capable of rivaling them.

Considering this species would be capable of harnessing Apocryphal essence and not face Apocalypse themselves.

They would be unpredictable killing machines that fed on any type of chaos and destruction, as of course, apocalypse was merely a higher tiered combination of both.

Bad thoughts, disorder, fear… these were only a few of the things that they could harvest…

Their biggest advantage would be that whenever they were involved in apocalypse, they would have a boost in power.

That was simply how holding a Law essence worked, and that was why the future inhabitants of Spawn's reality would always strive for the power of Laws.

"Alright, lets see how the first will proceed." He murmured, walking up to the pod and putting his hand on it.

*Sizzle*

Heat was released from it as it opened, liquid splashing out onto the ground, yet the being inside stood still.

*Zip*

Before it could even touch the ground, all the liquid disappeared from the plane of existence, Spawn keeping full focus on his first specimen.

The being's body was relatively decomposed and looked more like a human skeleton with a thin layer of skin.

One could even see the purple apocryphal essence seeping out of its body, giving the being a glow of sorts.

"Heh..." The being chuckled with a crazed smile as its eyes shot to life with purple fire.

In an instant, some of the matter in the immediate area was absorbed, giving the being more mass and making it denser and much stronger.

"Hup!" It breathed with excitement before cocking its arm back faster than most would be able to see.

*BOOM*

Steam was released from every joint as it put its full power into the swing.

Yet even that was not nearly enough.

The second the slim fist came within a certain distance of Spawn, a cracking was heard as the space around him was filled with cracks.

Though the specimens arm was way worse of, having been completely obliterated.

But it's smile was still evident, looking at the God before it with reverence.

"God!" It said in an energetic voice as it knelt down on the ground.

"..." Spawn watched on as the being vibrated through the ground, as if its cells were experiencing too much excitement.

"Stand." He said, lifting the specimen up with his gaze.

"You are A-2 . The first of the perfected version of your race. You are the god, Akatosh..."
