Arya marched down the village path, dressed in a brahmin's garb. The cries of help from the residents of the nearby village were deafening to the ears and he had not visited the land of mortals in a long time.
"The conditions I see have worsened from when my clan and I left the region," Daanav Vapat remarked, from behind. "The trees have grown thinner. The sun is burning up the land."
"That is why the pleas. Rain god has decided not to be kind on the people of this region and now they appeal to me," Arya confirmed Vapat's observation, with some disdain to the rain god. He would remember to have a word with Lord Janya, when he returns to heaven.
Arya had brought along heaven's gatekeeper Chitragupta and Daanav Vapat, both guised as the brahmin's pupils.
