Indra signaled with his left hand for his men to remain absolutely quiet and still as he detected a faint hint of smoke in the air. Indra noiselessly aimed his arrow at one of the tall branches of the tree and sent it flying. The shot was quickly followed by a shriek and a loud thump. All of a sudden, a group of five men appeared from deep within the thicket and charged at them.
"Send out the owl hoot," Indra blurted the instruction before taking out five arrows from his neverending quivering and firing them one after the other like the flapping of a bird's wing. All five adversaries dropped dead before they even took three steps. Before long, Digambar arrived with his men and so did the rest of the soldiers. They followed Indra deeper into the part jungle where their foes were hiding.
"My lord," Digambar said in a sharp, hushed breath, "they laid in wait for us."
