After the four of them survived the close brush with deadly pishachas, they decided to rest one more day in the lotus inn at the trading post. Surya wanted to remain there longer so Vidyut could recover fully, but the tantric insisted a day was enough for him to heal. None in the group had the desire to leave the inn keeper amid such ghastliness, but Surya's treatment had to continue, and the man wanted to remain there when more help arrived for the ones injured and recuperating.
Leaving the innkeeper with a purse full of gold coins, Surya, Vidyut, Veer, and Guru Briharshi rode northwards to the place where Surya would engage in deep meditation for a month. It was a place where Vidyut, too, did his training under Tantric Valmik; so he had every faith that it would be ideal for the second stage of Surya's healing process.
