A week had passed since Prince Surya began his treatment. Every day, the prince arrived at the Tantric guild by himself, none of his men with him. The path from the palace to the guild was familiar to him by now. Yet, Vidyut would unquestionably escort him back to the palace after the healing session. He had not heard of the prince suffering from another episode of fits since the treatment began, which was favorable.
Surya's back still stiffened up just before the first lash of the treatment routine, even though Vidyut did his best to heal the prince afterward. They became frank with each other again after their icy conversation on the first day in the healing chamber. Vidyut considered offering a rare apology, but it was Surya who offered his first on the second day. They exchanged some formal words and a few not so formal smiles.
