The next morning, two servants found Surya sprawled on the floor, senseless, right by his bed. They shook the prince to rouse him. By the time the prince was awakened and helped back to his bed, the royal household was thrown into panic. Queen Rukmini came rushing into Surya's chamber, having heard the news from her chambermaids, even summoned the royal healer. Surya quickly brushed off the incident as exhaustion from his travel, determined to not admit his illness to her. He was heartily sick of the way she fussed over him and always telling him to rest. A few moments later, King Shakti stepped into the room, and the queen padded over to him.
"I told you not to give him permission to travel east," She hissed at her husband in her usual anxious, breathy tone. "You must order him to rest for the day and stop his journey to the east. It is madness!"
