Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

Killan stayed still and stared at the gun that was placed right in the middle of his forehead. It was cold and unpleasant.

The gun holders must have the luck of the gods, if they leave this place alive with all limbs intact with the way Killan was glaring at them.

The moment they went into the building, lights flashed and they heard the sound of gun's reloading. Newly slotted magazines. There was no way they were able to dodge all sorts of bullets coming from different varying angles.

Shadows were slowly escaping from beneath the ground, Killan held his breath and got ready before his power of source was stopped. Without getting flustered, he tried again. It stopped. Something in the air was stopping it. He tried again, this time before it could even form properly, the shadow was trampled on by shiny black boots, forming dust particles.

"This is all? 3 outside and 4 inside? I thought they would be better at planning." A man with a thick heavy Russian criticised. He had an impressive figure standing up to almost 6 feet 5. His body was well built and his muscles could be seen bulging out from his black hoodie His boots shone and attached to his big back was an even bigger rifle. Little pieces of blond curly hair could be seen sticking out from his hood. He wore a black mask that concealed the top half of his face. Supposedly a masquerade mask? It was glossy and the sides of it resembled a volcano, it was dyed crimson with grey stripes.

"Let's bring them back to the boss. Want me to shoot them?" The Russian man asked casually as he shook his head to remove hair from falling upon his forehead.

Ethan flinched upon the moment he heard the word shoot. He stared at the man and paid no attention to the guns. That man felt dangerous. Just from the way he confidently stood and positioned himself in an advantageous spot, it was clear he was experienced. He focused back on the more important issue, he had messed up. He knew Alpha was going to get caught due to Quinn's report to the government. But he didn't expect to be overpowered like this. He kept wrecking his mind trying to find a solution, should he just blast this whole place apart? He had no time to dilly dally.

Zoom. A scope was stuffed right in front of Ethan's face. The Russian man was now staring at him with an expression of confusion, he stood at a far distance, creating a 'barrier' with the help of the rifle's length.

"What was that?" The man asked, he scrunched his nose as he placed his other hand on his pants. He felt a killing intent. A strong one. It ought to be from this kid even though he didn't look like much.

Ethan slowly turned his head and kept a calm expression, if he didn't, he would place his comrade in danger. He sighed and held out both of his hands. "I surrender." he said, tilting his head. He had to swallow his pride to bow down to an enemy like this. He felt like he was going to choke on his words.

The other two followed along unwillingly. Xavier held up some resistance when people confiscated his blade. He growled and was about to pounce but stopped in his tracks. He cursed under his breath, once people found him calm. They roughly grabbed his arms and tied his hands behind his back with a grey silver rope.

Killan held his arm out in front of him. He shook his head slightly, he had no idea what was running through Ethan's mind. When people started searching him for weapons, he stayed calm and stared at the ceilings, he squinted and tried to get a better look at the black dark hallway ahead they hadn't even managed to step a foot in.

The government had been much more prepared than he thought. Even with leaked information. They were definitely hiding something in here. Just when were they going to find the golden opportunity to escape from the crutches of the enemy?

Once people started searching in Killan's shoes, he shook them off a bit with a glare. They looked taken aback by the sudden menace but decided to continue searching. He moved his feet to the front and swung it back with brute force. "My feet are sensitive. Don't touch my shoes."

The men hesitantly stopped and discussed it amongst themselves but chose to continue. They had decided they needed to retrieve the item that the man was carrying, even if it wouldn't matter as he would be bound by a rope.

The Russian man who seemed to be the leader noticed the slight hesitation of his teammates and took the matters into his own hands. He pointed the tip of his gun right in front of Killan's left eye. "You move, this gets shot." He spat out.

Killan stood still and stared blankly at the Russian man. His face remained impassive as the irises of his crystal black eyes grew larger. Once the search was done and nothing was found in his shoes, he was kicked to the ground and with his whole body tangled with the silver ropes.

The three were forced to walk in between the guards, it was squeezy and everyone's unpleasant body odour could be smelled. The trio's breathing was unharmonious and so were their thoughts. Their only leverage was their power but it didn't seem like it worked here. Killan's power was disrupted by something. They had to destroy that 'something' or else the plan wouldn't be able to proceed.

Soon, they reached an empty wall. Slowly, the walls seemed to cave in and everything dimmed. And it went dark. Something beneath them was moving, plates were converging and diverging. There was an odd movement of the plates beneath them.

Their eyes opened once again and there was another identical hallway similar to what they had just walked through earlier. However, the three could sense that weird feeling of a negative charge in the air better now. It was much more concentrated. Their breathing even felt heavier, it was as if their chests were being pressed down by something heavy.

They walked and walked, every moment, eyes were stuck on them like glue. Soon, the guards halted to a stop and whispered, they pushed the three in the dark hallway. The light changed, so did the atmosphere. The Russian man went in with them along with Quinn who was free from any sorts of restraints.

Something was definitely different here. It was a completely different infrastructure than what they had just seen earlier.  However, sounds of bubbles echoed softly throughout the whole building. Like something was boiling.

The three looked in front and they were in disbelief. Every corner of the room was lined with guards with masquerade masks, standing straight with a gun in hand. There was a man standing in front. He also wore a masquerade mask but it was visibly different from the others. It was gold in color with high rising sides that were accompanied with a beautiful pure set of feathers. Unfit for the vulgar man.

The man was short and chubby, his suit pants almost tearing apart at the seams. He sat with his legs apart and his bushy face resting on the palm of his hands. He was continuously drinking the dark brown wine and eating delicacies that were fed to him by ladies with short dresses that if it went any millimeters shorter, their undergarments would be seen.

Two people with thick red cloaks that were outlined with golden threading stood behind the big throne-like chair that the fat man was sitting on. Although they were standing in the exact same position like the others, it was obvious they were the best of the best. Their masks were different and resembled after their master's. Though their eyes could not be seen, their stares somehow reached the three, putting an immense amount of pressure.

The large room had multiple layers with intricate designs carved on the walls. There was a large platform right on top of them, held to the ceiling by a shiny thick chain. Weird strange white smoke was flowing down like a waterfall surrounding the three as they got stared down by everyone.

Silence filled the room, until a wall in the back opened up. A severely beaten up Castiel and Felix entered. It seemed like they had just gone through an intense battle. They looked drained, barely even keeping their eyes open. They were pushed under the large platform with the other three.

"Let's get this started." the man stopped chomping and gulping down on his snacks said. He had an awfully wicked smile, chocolate smeared his beard and food crumbs hung on the hairs. He waved his finger to the people behind him. The women stepped away and retreated. The two people took over the empty spot. Their presence was even more obvious now.

It was obvious everyone was trying to break free from the silver ropes, they forced it to snap with all their strength but the rope did not budge one bit. Panic was a common factor amongst Team Alpha members. Even Ethan paused in his tracks. He stopped struggling and relaxed. He whispered some incomprehensible phrases to himself.

The man in front got his two assistants to lean in and hear what he had to say. One of the assistants raised his hand up high and lowered it while nodding his head. He walked up to the group while glancing at Quinn and Adan.

They stopped and towered over the kneeling intruders. "Shall we have some fun?" the man with the red cloak said.

Killan stayed silent and did not make a single sound. He kneeled there staring into thin air as if he wasn't aware of the chaos around him.

Until, the man with the red cloak walked up directly to him. "Killan Killer. Right hand man of Draven." he addressed him.

This got the reaction out of Killan who looked up immediately. He then realized exactly what they wanted. Something only he knew.

"That's it then." The man whispered when he noticed the slight change in attitude. He smirked and bent down even lower. He put out his hand and pointed at the Russian man without even looking. "Ivankov."
