[7:00 PM]
The bell rings indicating everyone in the camp to have dinner, personnel in blue jumpsuits leaving the central command. Dan proceeds to move on his own. With his Invisibility he passed through guards with ease. The Central Command was not far from sight, so he slip pass the crowd, unnoticed. He then enters the room and saw a huge computer network few inches away infront of him. He approach the system unit and plug the said USB.
- Good work Dan! We're hacking in.
"It's just a piece of cake," he proudly announced through the earpiece.
- Now take the USB and get out already.
Dan sensed someone at the other side of the door. He activates his talent and waits for that someone to come in. As soon as it step inside the room, Dan tackled it, making the personnel unconscious.
- What are you doing?!
"Taking care of the intruder, what else?"
- You don't have to?!
Dan can hear Sofie's frustrated voice on the other side. Dan couldn't help but do what his instincts say, it was his first encounter with them and had no experience on working with a group. He lowers the volume of his earpiece and step out the room. He then reported to Riley.
- Central Command Hacking successful. I have run to someone here, but I took care of it.
"Meet us at Entrance 1, we're going in," Riley then dash through the opened entrance, John joined in. Workers are spending their break time so it will be easy to get in. The two waits for Dan's arrival and shut the big steel gate behind them.
"What is this place?" Dan asked. He look at the series of tunnels leading to somewhere beyond the darkness. The cave ceiling was several feet overhead with several stalactites hanging above, water dripping from the tips. A strong energy resonates from the depths of the cave, giving warning to someone dares to go in.
"It's more like a dungeon," John replies. He tightly hold his shield for potential threat. Riley was examining the surrounding walls with various engravings of unfamiliar language and come across an engraving of a Monkey riding a cloud-like kind of transportation, holding a Bo Staff-like weapon.
Only one Monkey was famous for this.
The mythical-creature of the 16th century novel Journey to the West. The Monkey King, Sun Wu Kong. Mount Huaguo also known as the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit or the Fruit and Flower Mountain, is a massive and divine area that is also said to be the his birthplace and so various higher-ups got interested in search for his legendary weapon,
"Let's hurry! Even though we have hack through their system, they will soon find out intruders have come here."
The group then walk through the leftmost path, carrying their own flashlights. The two left in the caravan had informed them about the last failed excavations of the place, leading them to the right path to take. They come across a big tent with people shadows cast in its surface. John accidentally slipped while sneaking past it, alerting the people inside, firearms raised, shooting at the 3 of them.
"Intruders!"
"Kill them!"
"Damnit," John then raised his shield, creating a forcefield around them, while Riley toss a knife to Dan for his self-defense. The sound of gunshots echoed around the cave. The armed men ran out of bullets, switching to melee, John released the forcefield and began dashing towards, throwing off some of them to the sides, while Riley start shooting some in the head, securing the kill. They proceed doing a killing spree, with John smashing the heads of the men using his shield while Dan goes invisible and slash some armed men throats. All the armed men are killed, they enter the tent and found a man, shivering, holding his head while crouching.
"Mr. Russell Bolton, owner of multiple illegal mining facilities across Asia, I never thought you'll be in here in Mount Huaguo."
"Please! Spare me!"
"Spare you??" Riley reloaded her Wrist Gun with bullets then point it towards Mr. Bolton, coldly staring at him, "That wont do."
Another round of gunshots echoed in the air, the three look at Mr. Bolton's dead body. Riley announces to the team to move deeper in the tunnels.
They here some growls of unknown creatures coming from deep of the dungeon. The energy they sense a while ago at the entrance grew stronger nd stronger. Wild monkeys appeared before them, trying to held them back from going further into the dungeon.
Clang!
Stalactites also fall by the deafening roar of a higher-class monkey within the hoard of monkeys, so John have assisted them by defending them using his
Swish!
Dan on the other hand, pick up a broken sword from one of the armed men and used it efficiently, avoiding it to break for its durability.
A deafening crack of thunder filled the room. Riley come to close combat every Enraged monkey coming near her. She was using a knife to injure the monkey's flesh and dealing the final blow by firing two or three bullets.
All monkeys from that hoard are eliminated. At the end of the tunnel, the cave became wider as a 25ft tall pillar stood at the center. The three move closer to it as the energy it emits grew stronger. Riley then inspect the surface of that pillar, dusting it, revealing engraved letters of an unknown language. The engravings shone brightly, its light envelope the whole cave. As the light dissipates, the three of them are gone.
