Loren was watching his T.V, switching channels with a look of disinterest.
Stopping on a new channel, Loren watched the weather forecaster talk about recent unpredictable weather patterns.
As if on que, the sound of rain droplets hitting the ground resounded in his ear. Looking out into the balcony, Loren was shocked to find that the rain was red.
Why was it red?
Grabbing his phone, Loren grabbed his phone to find the answer to his question, only to realize that the internet was off.
'I have a really bad feeling about this.'
Searching his options thoroughly, Loren discovered that all forms of communication had been turned off. Even the T.V that he had just been watching minutes ago was not completely black.
Suddenly, a knocking sound distracted Loren from his thoughts. Getting up and approaching the door, Loren looked through the small peephole to see who was knocking.
Through the peephole, Loren saw a lady he had never met before. Maybe she also lived in the building?
The mysterious visitor was a Chinese lady that looked about 30, wearing a raincoat, knocking on his door with a smile on her face.
But, Loren felt that something was off.
Maybe it was the red rain dripping of her raincoat, the ways her eyes looked bloodshot, or her overly creepy smile, but Loren decided not to open the door
The lady knocked on the door harder and harder, screaming as she wailed on his poor door. Loren felt like he had made the correct decision by not opening it.
Grabbing the largest objects he could get his hands on, Loren blocked the door thoroughly and waited. Loren sighed in relief as the knocking stopped and her screams soon faded.
Loren jumped in surprise as a he heard a knocking sound again, but realized that it came from next door. Putting his ears on the wall that divided their apartments, Loren heard the sound of a door opening.
What Loren heard next was the sound of screams. Afterwards, all that was left was silence, the sound of crunching bones and chewed flesh grew louder and louder.
Loren was completely frozen, his body shivering in fear and cold sweat, realizing that he had almost just lost his life.
