Loren snapped himself out of his stupor, forcing his mind to think
'What is going on?'
Dozens of scenarios go through his head, from zombie apocalypse to alien invasions.
However based on his current knowledge, there was only one outlier in this whole situation.
'The red rain.'
Considering, the fact that the lady was wearing a raincoat, it wasn't difficult to guess that she came from outside. Perhaps the red rain is the key, and it turns people into monsters?
Looking outside, what he saw shocked him. The whole street was filled with grotesque monsters of all shapes and sizes, and they were actually attacking each other!
Loren desperately closed all of his blinds as quickly as possible. He didn't know the abilities of these monsters, and if one of them had supervision or could fly, he would be screwed.
The moment he finished closing the blinds, Loren collapsed. The whole gravity of the current situation was crashing down on him.
Loren tried to himself down, knowing that panicking could make him lose his life.
Steeling himself, Loren got up and started to gather empty containers. He immediately started filling them with water, knowing that the water supply would gradually be contaminated by the red rain.
Afterwards, he opened his refrigerator, and started to sort out his remaining food. Thankfully, today had been his day off, and he had gone shopping early morning for food.
Thankfully, most of the food he bought were junk food and non-perishables. The first time being lazy might actually save his life.
He also gathered other items that might help him in this situation. For example, his father's golf club, which he kept after his parents died in a car crash when he was 16 years old.
Their was also a lighter, a pack of cigarettes, a canteen, a backpack, some other items and most importantly, a toothbrush.
Loren had watched a video online that showed that lack of proper hygiene would negatively affect the body and your chances of survival. After all, one could die to germs and disease as easily as one could die to a monster, so the daily necessities were crucial.
That meant Lucas had to stock up on toilet paper.
