DISCLAIMER: THIS STORY IS ALL FICTION and WILL TOUCH UPON TOPICS THAT MAY BE SENSITIVE FOR SOME VIEWERS, ALONG WITH LANGUAGE THAT MAY BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME!
In a world where the people are in danger from the great unknown, there is but one girl who can save them all.... HA I'm kidding! Hey there, imaginary people I'm writing to in my brain. My names Jayden and I have borderline personality disorder. Well, not just that. There's also of mix of depression, anxiety, and a sprinkle of PTSD. But the important part of this story is my BPD.
I cant explain when it really started, in all honesty I have memories all the way back to me being a kid where I showed symptoms. And the biggest thing that I got out of it was my ability to jump into the different realities I created due to my disassociation. For those of you who don't know disassociation is a break in the way your brain handles information, or well my therapist said its my bodies defense mechanism. Either way its allowed me to have an ability that kind of makes it all worth it.
Lets take it back to when I was a kid. I grew up in a bit... tense of a household. Mommy and Daddy didn't have the happiest marriage and there was really no place for me to be able to escape from the fighting. Even school was full of bullshit, I was constantly bullied and had a tendency to wear my heart a bit too much on my sleeve. I guess that made me an easy target.
So that's when it started, the first reality I was able to travel to. Every time I got home from school after being harassed all day. Id come home to either my brothers being in fist fights or my parents screaming at each other. Being the youngest and the only girl definitely didn't help. I was lonely, constantly. We lived in an old house where the floors were thin, you could hear people on the floor below you easily. While I was upstairs playing with my dolls my brothers and parents would be downstairs watching sports, laughing, having a good time; so Id go to join them and every time Id be let down.
Id go downstairs sit on the floor and just wait. Wait for the laughter to start again. Wait for all the fun and smiling to happen like I was hearing. But every time I tried to join in it all fell silent...
So Id return to my room, to be by myself with only my imagination to keep me company. And once I went back upstairs they would all start having a good time again. I learned my place at a young age. I knew loneliness so well I started to depend on my imagination to help me get away from all the pain. And that's when it started, I traveled to my first reality.
So this is my introduction, welcome to the beginning of reality chaser. From here on out the story will be from a third person point of view, please enjoy!
