10 a.m. Jayden wakes up yet again to another fight in her family group chat.

Her mother and father have been sending constant heated messages back and forth about the on coming divorce trial. As for Jayden's brothers Brian and Cody, they've given up on trying to remedy any civilized or co existent behavior from their parents. When Jayden opens her eyes she reads the messages and sighs.

"I thought moving out would get me away from all the drama but I should've known that would've been too easy." Just when she's about to put her phone down and roll back over to get more sleep she starts to get a call from her mom.

Unenthusiastically she answers, "Yeah?"

"Can you believe this! Its like he's trying to turn you all against me! I mean he's really going to invite you all down to the vacation home and think I wouldn't catch wind of it!? So that's how this is going to go? He's going to invite you guys and your friends to the beach house and then next thing you know you're going to be completely taking his side and spending the holidays with him and...."

Jayden cuts her off. "You want to know what mom? I am so fucking sick and tired of this shit. From you, from dad, from all of this! You guys want to get divorced? Do it! I don't care anymore, but stop putting me in the fucking middle of it all! You wonder why Cody doesn't talk to you and Brian avoids your calls as much as possible until he needs something? Its because they don't want to deal with the drama anymore! But here I am, still putting up with all the bullshit! And honestly? I'm done caring..."

In between her words Jayden starts to become choked up with tears about to swell from her eyes. "I had hoped for so many years things would change. That you and dad would find a way to make it work out or you would at least change your ignorant/selfish way of thinking but, it's now clear to me you both are hopeless! So instead of bringing your already stressed out and depressed daughter into the middle why don't you two for once act like FUCKING ADULTS and LEAVE ME OUT OF IT!!" With that Jayden hung up the phone and laid in her bed sobbing.

She starts to feel an anxiety attack come on. The tingling feeling in her fingers and toes start to creep on and everything starts to feel dizzy. But this isn't the first one. She knows by now how to calm down and so she closes her eyes and focuses on her breathing and when she opens them back up she is no longer in her NYC studio apartment but in an entirely new world of its own.

The first reality that she ever created and traveled to as a kid is now right before her eyes.
