A sultry smile curled on Oloha's lips as she tried seducing the boy in front of her into giving up. She placed her hand on her cheek, stroking the chocolate of her skin.
"So you'd hurt a cute girl like me?"
Shinzo's lips twisted in distaste, her attempts at seducing him lost in his disinterest. "I'm better looking than you, so I don't care."
Her lips slumped, her fingers hooking through her trigger. "You pompous prick…"
Shinzo slid aside, bullets spiraling at him in rapid fashion. Her face morphed into one of annoyed desperation, her fingers digging into the trigger. Shinzo nimbly dodged her bullets, his hair flying in his face as he did.
She breathed slowly, eyes cast on the beautiful but annoying creature in front of her, "My enhanced vision makes my aim perfect."
Shinzo tilted to the side, his hair following the graceful movement. "Perfect, don't make me laugh. Nothing before me is perfect. My face is perfect, my body is perfect, and my martial arts is perfect." He used his fingers to push up his silky black hair, Oloha begrudgingly accepting the hotness of the movement. "I am the perfect being."
Oloha's lips hung low, her mouth not being able to form words. She wet her lips to talk, but closed it again for lack of words. A sigh escaped her lips, placing her face in her cupped hands, if I lose to this narcissist, I'm not going to live this down.
Regaining her sense of self, her fingers reaching for the cold star shaped metal in her weapons holster. Shinzo avoided the small blades, failing to notice two spiral back towards him. She smirked, a transparent string tugging back towards her with the shuriken dangling on it.
His shoulder and cheeks cried in stinging agony, his hands shooting up to touch his broken skin. Oloha watched in smug satisfaction as he fumbled through his Yukata sleeve and pulled out a tiny mirror.
His voice raised in startled horror, eyes glazing over in fear as he touched the wound and flinched when it stung. A distressed mumble escaped his lip.
"My face."
Oloha snorted, pushing down the narcissist. "Ha, not so perfect anymore."
Shinzo shoved the pocket mirror back into his sleeve, his eyes turning blistering cold. Oloha unknowingly shivered, his rapid change from disheveled disbelief to cold fury jarring. He lifted his finger to his face, yellow pooling from his eyes. "I've been nice enough; I think it's time I show you the power of the youngest Anima master."
Unleashing the fury of his Ferro form, he smashed his fists into her stomach. Spit shot out from her mouth, her body tumbling backwards. She forced herself to stop her ungraceful fall, her breathing ragged as she gripped her aching stomach.
She grabbed two knives from the holster, Shinzo grabbing her arm as one of the blades hovered before his eye. Her second blade missed its mark, Shinzo's knee slapping it out of her hand.
He pushed her backwards, another stream of shuriken flying in his direction. Unlike the first time, they came in at fast intervals with Shinzo's Cessa form barely able to feel them coming.
Distracted by the small blades, the flats of her feet slamming into his back. Pain seared through his body, the ground beneath him digging into his skin. His skull had been affected, blood blurring his vision.
Oloha's smirk faded into oblivion as his body jolted up, his hand moving to wipe the blood out of his eyes. He unwrapped the ribbon on the arm of his Yukata, lifting his hair off his shoulder. He pointed his arm forward, eyes on her.
"No matter what you do I won't fall because I'm perfect."
"That again, no one is perfect."
"Why should someone else define perfection for me?" his eyes remained steady, not faltering in the face of his enemy. "My perfection lays in my strength of self that is my perfection. I understand myself that is why I will never lose."
Shinzo's face invaded her field of vision, his palm slamming into her stomach. Her reflexes were unable to kick in, her body propelling towards the hard floor. She coughed blood, her body numbing from the accumulation of the injuries she had received.
Her vision blurred, her eyes staring at the martial artist who stood tall before her. He tugged at his ribbon, his beautiful black locks falling to his back and his sharp brown eyes falling on her ragged body.
A smile curled on her face, his speech echoing in her mind. "I just thought you were a narcissist, but it seems I looked down on you too much."
Shinzo squatted in front of her, turning her body from its awkward position to look at him. "You aren't too bad yourself."
The ground suddenly shook, more violently than the last earthquake. Oloha frowned at the tremor, her eyes looking deep into the volcano to see the problem. A gasp escaped her lips, her enhanced vision catching lava rising to the top of the earthly structure at a formidable speed.
"What?" Shinzo asked, leaning over her body.
"The volcano… it'll soon erupt."
