"Very few people can stop my sword," the miner told Octavius. "My name is Seye, what is your name kid?"
"The names Octavius," he said then lifted his head up. "Heavy isn't the word I'd use for that sword."
Seye frowned, the jeer not pleasing him. "Don't act cocky because you stopped it. This time I won't let you get in the way."
Octavius smirked, putting a lollipop in his mouth. "Let's see who is stronger."
Seye's sword came crashing down, Octavius dodging it then kicking him into the other workers. The workers tumbled like bowling pins, Seye coughing as he held his stomach.
"How can such a small boy send someone as huge as leader to the wall," one of the workers mumbled.
"Let's get him," another shouted.
All of them barreled towards Octavius, a staff appearing in his hands. He exhaled, closing his eyes as they drew near, Bojutsu, sixth form. Anyone who got in his way was sent flying backward, Octavius' speed and strength unmatched.
Seye stood up, damn brat isn't only strong, but fast too. How is this even possible?
Octavius wrung his staff, staring at Seye from the piles of bodies around him. "This is the strength gotten from my hard work, it won't lose to anyone."
Seye charged towards him with his sword, but Octavius dodged it, using his staff like a pole to twirl. His foot connected to Seye's balls, his hands going to the affected area and his face twisting in pain.
Octavius snickered. "That must hurt."
Seye glared at him. "No more play." He inhaled, clapping his hands,
He grew bigger, Octavius whistling lowly as his size increased,
The cold metal of Seye's blade touched Octavius' neck, his eyes widening at the unprecedented attack. He barely dodged it, a pint of blood dripping from a cut on his neck.
Seye's sword came crashing down once more with all spite shining at the tip of its blade. Octavius pushed himself away from the blade, but he couldn't avoid the blade caressing his cheek. His lips perked downwards, something wet dribbling down his cheek.
Seye's laugh echoed in the cave, Octavius' finger pressed to the scarlet liquid. Seye taunted him, his voice dripping with witty resentment. "At the end of the day, you're just a brat. Hard work, don't make me laugh, you have no chance against someone like me who has been blessed with my strength."
His words went over the younger boy's head, his mind preoccupied with the wound on his face. Seye for lack of insults in his vocabulary decided he's had enough of trash talking him and raised his sword up to descend on him.
Octavius' small hands wrapped itself around the blade, his grip keeping it in place. He glared at Seye, eyes shining with blue disgust. Seye could feel it, the killer intent leaking off the child before him. As if too much for his small body, it seeped out ready to destroy anything in sight.
"I'm very particular about my face since it's the only way I get free sweets."
"Wha-"
Seye's eyes nearly burst out of their sockets as the tip of his blade cracked before him. Octavius disappeared from his line of sight, his eyes noticing his foot too late. He skid down the hard floor, his body aching from the gruesome kick.
He cracked his knuckles, walking towards his twitching body. "For hurting my face, I'll have to kill you now."
Seye rose to his feet, a yellow glow coming from his eyes. "You brat!"
Octavius exhaled slowly, paying no mind as his opponent plunged forward. "People who don't see the effort in working hard don't know what true fulfilment is." Seye's fists rippled forward as if breaking the sound barrier. "I won't lose to an idiot like you who belittles hard work."
Octavius drove his fists into his, vibrations thundering down Seye's spine. Silence whistled through the cave, their fists resting against each other. Seye froze, his eyes staring at Octavius in wonder.
Octavius didn't give him time to question himself, his free fist diving into his unguarded stomach and sending him towards the wall. Seye braced himself with the heel of his feet, his back inches away from the stony barricade behind him.
He clenched his fists, his body size increasing once again until his head made contact with the ceiling.
"I am now at hundred percent of my power, try and beat me if you can."
His large body moved swiftly despite its size, kicking the unsuspecting Octavius to the ground. The boulder heavy kick, knocked out all the air in his small body. Blood spilled gently down his skull, his body twitching in pain.
Seye laughed, his voice sounding like seagulls in the distance. "Looks like your hard work wasn't enough to beat me."
Octavius' blurred vision rested on the piece of candy that had been in his mouth earlier, dirtied by the grimy floor. "M-my lollipop," he mumbled, his voice hoarse with mourning at the sight of the lost goods.
Seye's foot dangled over him, his limbs tumbling down to land a definitive blow. "Be it hundred or a million percent of your power…" Octavius' hand wrapped around his ankle, stopping his foot with his arm. Seye's eyes widened, his body tilting backwards as Octavius rose to his feet. "Be it the power given to you by God or the power given to you by Satan." Seye's mouth let out a shrill scream, Octavius spinning his body around before slamming him into the nearby glass wall. "I won't lose to someone like you."
Seye's body hung like a dish rag on the glass, the material tainted with blood. The adventurer had his eyes to the back of his head, the cold glass poking out of his skin. Anyone could tell that the man was dead, his body deflating from his monstrous strength.
The Lion Pride Adventurers that had been beaten earlier had their eyes on the small boy, his hands fishing for a new piece of candy in his pocket. He placed cherry bubblegum his mouth, blowing a pink ball of air before allowing it to pop.
He hovered over their beat up bodies, the mass of them closing their eyes in fear of their lives. His foot crunched on the arm of one of the members, his eyes glowing blue as he stared him down. The adventurer gulped, the blood bathed child in front of him scaring the reason for his existence out of him.
"Now, I want you to tell me everything that is going on in this volcano and I mean everything. Do I make myself clear?"
Bile rose to the surface of his throat, his body shivering at the intensity of the gaze and forcing his lips to let out a disgracefully squeaky sound.
"Y-yes sir."
