Aria's Point of view
"Remember what I said and help us. This is the only way you can," said Professor Fontaine, before taking out his wand and transforming it into a sword. The teachers followed his lead and joined in with the war. Aria stood there frozen.
No Way!!!
She was not going to leave her friends, family, school, and life alone in the hands of a dark witch and wizards. There was no chance that a few teachers were going to win against at least 20 dark witches and wizards and well...Morana was another topic to talk on.
And speaking of Morana, she was up to something else with Pandora. They both were doing some spells on each other and whispering. Aria felt completely useless right now. She didn't know why the heck she was simply standing and watching when there was a war taking place in front of her eyes. All of Morana's servants against all the Ilvermorny teachers. She didn't know they were so good at sword fighting but well...living in a wizarding world, coming to know that Morana's soul exists in you, and then suddenly discovering that the ring you wear turns to a hairpin and then into a powerful sword, this didn't come as a huge shock.
Coming face to face with Morana had been painful, not out of fear but physically. Her eyes felt like they wanted to pop out of her sockets and from what Aria assumed, Morana's soul sensed her presence. When she slashed at Morana's shoulders, green liquid or blood spluttered out making her fall to her knees out of pain and then Aria heard the voice his voice...the voice she craved.
Draco
She turned towards him, watching him run towards her. Her once angry and full of rage and tired eyes softened filling with relief and joy. Despite the war going on, she was happy to see him safe, completely unharmed except for a few bruised but they weren't life-threatening. He ran towards her and hugged her tightly. She hugged him back.
"What happened?" he whispered pulling away to examine her cuts.
"nothing. I am relieved to see that you are...safe," she said, but she was scared that if Morana comes to know that Draco had been betraying her, he would be harmed but Aria's heart betrayed her.
"of course I am safe, but wh-" she cut him off.
"Go" she panted. "go and tak-
There wasn't an option. Even though she needed him so much, she couldn't be selfish. She wasn't going to let him be in danger. The only option right now was to tell Draco to go, take the students somewhere safe and escape. But Professor Fontaine, their headmaster cut her off telling or basically ordering them to go.
Why would she do that?
Ugghhh, Draco and Aria locked eyes. An understanding passed between them.
Right now, Professor Fontaine and the other teachers were fighting a losing war and of course Professor Gladstone, or I would say the snake was fighting against us.
She turned towards the students, "How many of you want to fight with us?"
"I WILL!!" said, some of them but the majority of them were quite fazed by the war taken in front of their eyes. Aria's heart clenched. She looked at Draco with a pained expression and he returned the same.
The people who participated in to fight were common like, Theo, Nico, Emily, Noah and just some of her other classmates and friends but Marissa and Oliver were simply nowhere to be seen and Aria silently prayed that they were safe.
"Draco take them somewhere safe and you have to be safe as well or...I'll kill you personally," Aria told Draco.
"No," he said...firmly or she would say angrily? It was almost terrifying as his words radiated power. "I am not going, I will be with you and Theo will take them."
Theo nodded and took them inside the castle. Aria looked at Draco confused. The castle was not safe, was it? Draco seemed to read her expression and he gave her an assuring look.
Aria and Draco turned towards the crowd fighting and noticed that many people were hurt. Some were shouting out weird battle cries and some were really going crazy. Aria took off the ring from her finger which had magically returned, god knows how, but Aria didn't have time to figure it out. She held the ring in her palms tightly and muttering, "I need to save this world. Please trust me." The ring turned to a hairpin and when Aria threw it on the ground it showed a fully dangerous looking sword. Draco stared at her in amazement but she gave him an I'll-explain-later-look. He nodded and looked down at his wand.
"I have never known sword-fighting and I don't know how you do," he said quietly. Aria placed her hand over his.
"I don't know that either, but you can be a huge help if you fight with a wand, it will be a benefit." He nodded and we both together with a small army behind us who decided to help us stepped into the war.
The situation was already out of our hands. Wherever she looked, Morana's servants overpowered the teachers but not professor Fontaine. He slashed, ducked and clanked with such force, Aria was surprised that the sword didn't give up. She herself was attacking a man she didn't know the name of but the person looked very evil. He had black curly hair, grey skin and black eyes that radiated darkness. He had dark circles under his eyes that made him look super evil, but his moves weren't that good. He simply didn't seem to understand when Aria was going to attack which earned him quite a few bruises, cuts and nasty wounds which bled and thankfully, he had red, normal blood, unlike Morana.
"CAREFUL!!" screamed Nico, who appeared to be behind her, struggling as well but he was still looking out for his friends. Aria, for a second, diverted her attention from the man, turned and looked in the direction Nico had directed, and she finally saw what she feared.
Morana was recovering and Pandora, who she had been whispering with was nowhere to be found. She had her sword back in her hand and looked ready for any challenge in this world. While Aria had been watching Morana, her opponent took advantage of this and tried to cut her throat off when she noticed it just in time. She twisted her body, her sword clanking with his. She put all the strength in it and tried to put it down. The swords, still not breaking contact, touched the ground, before Aria pushed the man with her foot and stabbed him in the gut.
"AAHHHHGGGGaahhhhhggggg" he wailed but fell to the ground, dead or unconscious, Aria didn't know and she didn't have the time to figure it out before she got another person trying to kill her.
"you will die a PAINFUL DEATH!!!!" he screamed, using his tricks and directly attacking her ankles. Aria jumped, in hopes that it will suffice until the sword had struck her calf. Blood spat out of her muscles and she fell down to her knees.
The man chuckled, "see? You can't defeat us, you filthy-
Aria thrust the sword in his calf too, to return the favour, but he got out just in time. She scowled at him, but he just laughed when suddenly his eyes went unfocused and he fell to the ground with a loud thud. Aria turned to look behind him and she saw Draco scowling at him, looking disgusted. Draco walked up to the man and placed his feet on his back.
"Next time, think before speaking as they can be your last words as well and first, decide who is filthy." he spat.
Aria looked at him gratefully, before his eyes fell behind her shoulders and he started throwing nasty curses at him. Aria turned to look at them for a second as she anyways couldn't do anything.
To say that he fought like a demon would be an understatement. He fought like a king who was protecting his territory. The sight was actually horrible to look at. Draco's opponent who again, Aria didn't know the name of, was fighting with a sword but the only difference was that it wasn't clashing with another sword but a powerful, red jet laser. Aria didn't understand why the other person was being stupid and fighting with a sword when he simply could transfigure his wand back, but she assumed no one in Morana's army had brains.
She tore her gaze away from Draco, which was hard, and looked at Marie Lyness, her wandless magic professor. She too was fighting like a whirlwind. She slashed and gritted her teeth so hard that Aria's own teeth hurt. She slashed, ducked, plunged and struck with a lot of force, it was almost frightening to watch. She used her hilt the most to knock out people. She even had awesome techniques. She twisted her body and jumped in the air and landed with her sword directly in the opponent's chest. But Aria had a slight suspicion that she was using her wandless magic too as her opponent looked exceptionally different. Professor's Lyness legs were working with an almost impossible speed as well. Aria tore her gaze away and looked back at Draco.
He was working with the same force but was panting a little now. Aria was afraid it was the last time she was seeing him and so she tried to take in his every detail. His blond hair, his blue eyes, his pale skin, his tall height, the way his hand moved with his wand...
What happened next is a little hard to describe as it was mostly blurred and happened too quick for Aria's eyes to capture it. Draco turned his eyes on her and widened. She was confused but then realized that he was looking past her shoulders. She turned and then something hit her head too hard.
Her mind went out of focus as if the world had started spinning. Her ears started buzzing and the last thing Aria remembered was Draco's exceptionally loud scream, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ARIAAAA" before everything blacked out.
