The moment Draco left, Aria felt haunted in the freaking dark cell. Dark thoughts drifted into her mind.
What if she was here for the whole of her life? In the darkness and the negativity of this cell? What if Morana won and the world turned dark? If so, there will be no morning, no pleasant chirping of the birds but the horrific screams of Morana's prisoners. No one will ever smile, instead, they will live in fear of dying. The constant fear of getting killed and constant worries for their loved ones will roam around their minds. Forget about the world. What about Aria's own loved ones? Marissa, Oliver, her teachers at her beloved school...and whether Aria admitted it or not, her grandmother. No matter what, her grandmother was a part of her. She had protected Aria despite what it had cost her.
And speaking of her grandmother...
A sudden spark of hope burned inside her heart. If Aria was in Morana's prison and from what Draco had told her, her grandmother was here too...
OF COURSE!!!
If Aria somehow made her way out of his horrific cell and tried to find her grandmother's too...but the fire of hope died as soon as it had started. Aria had been here only for a few hours and she was already too depressed. She could only hope her grandmother hadn't gone crazy and the thought of Aria escaping, finding her grandmother and being completely unharmed sounded stupid even in her mind.
There was no hope. Nothing left. Morana could simply live on forever and Aria will only have to look at these dark walls...
NO
The prison technology which Morana had set was driving her crazy. These weren't her thoughts. Aria took a deep breath and looked around only to see darkness surrounding her from all sides, but she couldn't be scared. She needed to get everyone out of this. Only she could do it but then again her brain betrayed her into thinking good thoughts.
That's exactly what she hated. Why her? Why couldn't she live a simple life? A few lone tears escaped her eyes and she slumped on the ground. Her brain started buzzing again due to the amount of thinking. She couldn't help her tears and soon it turned from quiet sniffles to proper crying.
A few good proper ours passed by and by that time, Aria was collapsed on the ground, tired.
Her dried tears weighing her eyes heavy, she didn't fight the urge to close her eyes, she welcomed it and drifted off to sleep.
~~~~~~Dream~~~~~~
A beautiful and graceful girl was walking in the middle of a forest. The girl had dark brown hair till her waist, which had some tiny flowers, which made her look extremely pretty. Aria couldn't see her face but from behind she looked, oddly familiar. She was fair-skinned, tall and a black frock surrounded her thin, slender body. She was walking on the small pink flowers which were carpeted on the ground under her feet. She seemed to be here for the first time cause she was looking around her curiously.
Aria followed her quietly until her foot stepped on a twig and it snapped.
The girl in front of her stopped abruptly. Aria's heart beating fast, she staggered back but it only resulted in another twig snapping. Aria cursed under her breath.
What's up with the twigs today?
Hearing the second source of noise from right behind her, the girl turned sharply and spotted Aria. Aria, with a sudden jolt, realized that the girl was none other than Aria herself. She expected the girl to be shocked, scared and run away but the girl did exactly the opposite. She looked at Aria calmly, but her expression was empty, exactly like Aria's expression when she is feeling empty and hollow from inside. She beckoned Aria to follow her with her fingers and turned back. Aria hesitated. This had to be a dream. Of course, this had to be a dream and as far as Aria knew, she didn't have any twins walking on this earth. But the girl continued to beckon her forward, which made Aria lose her control. The sincerity and the pain were quite visible through her watery eyes. Aria, reluctantly, stepped forward and followed the strange girl.
They both walked on the uneven ground in silence. The girl never once turning around to look at Aria. Though, Aria was having a hard time walking as she wasn't wearing any footwear. her feet were bare and vulnerable to the stone and the twigs, fallen on the ground. At last, after what seemed like hours to Aria, she heard a screaming noise. She looked at the girl in front of her in alarm, but she didn't turn back. Instead carried on walking as if she couldn't hear anything. As they walked further, the screams became more clear and prominent but another noise was added. A cold, laughing one. It seemed familiar but she couldn't pinpoint where she had heard the voice, nevertheless, it made her blood boil.
After a few steps, they were greeted by two trees, standing there like guards and the only thing which was hiding what was going on ahead. The girl slowly pushed the trees aside and a horrible scene met her eyes.
In front of her was Ilvermorny, her beloved school, but it looked different. As if all the life had been sucked out of there. Aria felt uneasy. The grounds where she and her friends would hang out, laugh, or play, was surrounded by Morana's servants. All of them and somehow they appeared to be more than the normal count. The floor was splashed with blood, and with a jolt she realized, her friends were lying on the ground, unconscious, or...
She refused to think that.
Swords and wands were thrown on the ground. Looking at this, Aria felt sick to her stomach but then there she was. Morana. Laughing like his was what she longed for. But the worse, from which probably Aria could have fainted on the sight, was standing there. Draco. He was wearing his black suit but it was covered in soot and dust. A deadly-looking Aria was lying at his feet, maybe really dead. Draco had his wand, clutched tightly in his hand. Morana's laughing continued.
"You can really enjoy your last laugh, Morana," Draco said, his voice, hoarse and shaking. "I will finish what you started and not let Aria's sacrifice go in vain."
"OH REALLY!!??" shouted Morana, over her fit of laughs. "or is it the other way around, you traitor?"
"YOU FILTH-
"EXCESSUS GRAVIS!!!" Morana screamed, casting the killing curse with much joy.
The real Aria screamed at the top of her lungs but it seemed like no one could hear her. Watching Draco's eyes go lifeless in front of her was so horrible that she couldn't take it. She tried to move but then it felt like she couldn't. She tried to run towards him but her legs wouldn't move. She let the hot tears fall over her cheeks but to no avail. She kicked, punched the air but she was frozen and then she heard a harsh voice calling her from somewhere but she couldn't make out. She felt like she was shaking her and then-
"GET UP!!"
She woke up with a jolt. An unfamiliar looking person was bent over her. She looked around and realized that she was still in Morana's prison and everyone was alive and normal. She was breathing heavily as if she had just run a mile. She looked at the person who was looking extremely angry.
"What?" she mumbled. The man grinned.
"You'll see what," he said. "Come on. You are being summoned by...Morana." his grin widened.
