Aron decided to take the bus in order to get to the dungeon. Although the dungeon was located near his sister's high school and wasn't that far, he didn't want hundreds of people staring at him as he walked down the streets. Still, he still got several stares as he sauntered towards the bus stop.
He briskly walked and arrived at the bus stop a few minutes early.
He looked around. Surrounding him were a few fashion outlets and an old weapon shop. Aron gazed at the weapon shop. In the window display, he saw a sword that seemed to be calling out to himself. It was made of iron and was gleaming in the hot sun. It's leather hand was in perfect condition, unlike his beginner's copper sword, which was worn and torn. However, when he saw the sword's price tag, Aron flinched. It costed $5,000.
Although Aron had gotten $100,000 from Alissa as down payment, he had spent it all on transferring his mother to a better hospital and paying his debts to the landlady. He had saved the rest of the money for his sister's college savings. Unlike him, he hoped his sister could go to college and land in a normal job; not an adventurer.
Aron, lost in his thoughts, didn't notice as the bus pulled up. A younger woman, about the age of 19 or 20, shyly pulled on his shirt to notify the bus was here. Aron thanked her, and the woman's face reddened. Then, she hurried on to the bus.
Aron, unaware of his own charm, also, hastily jumped onto the bus.
When Aron arrived at the dungeon, the Devil's Tunnel, he noticed Alissa was already waiting for him. She was wearing a tight black suit that showed off her curves. Many people were staring at her beauty. She quickly waved to him, which was far from her originally cold persona.
Aron waved back and hurried towards her. When he reached her, he asked the question which had been troubling him for a long time.
"Why aren't you bringing any items?"
Alissa, as if expecting this question, replied, "Ever since the day I landed in trouble with the gangsters, I started bringing a spacial artifact that stores my items. See, how does it look?"
Alissa pushed a golden bracelet on her wrist towards Aron's face.
Aron back away, surprised. A spacial artifact costed millions, if not hundreds of millions of dollars. If it were Aron, he would have put the bracelet inside a bank or a safe. He sighed. He was now sure that Alissa's common sense was extremely warped.
Alissa, not noticing Aron's thoughts, was staring at Aron's backpack. Even from the surface, she could tell Aron's armor and sword were in very bad shape. She was prepared for this. From the files she read about Aron, she knew that Aron was a very selfless person and never unnecessarily spent money on himself.
She took out a mithril sword and leather armor from her spacial artifact and handed it to Aron, with the excuse that her guild members needed to at least have decent weaponry.
Aron tried to decline. He could clearly see the items were far from average. They must have been worth millions of dollars. He didn't think he could pay that much of debt even if he worked his whole life. However, seeing Alissa adamant on her decision, Aron hesitantly took the items. He noted to pay her back one day.
Then, he and Alissa showed their ID to the gatekeeper and entered the dungeon.
