When Aron got out of the dungeon, the guards immediately stopped him and asked for his identity.
Aron, thinking it was a prank, immediately got angry.
"My name is Aron Winter. I went into the dungeon just yesterday. Don't you remember?"
The guards looked at each other with a quizzical expression. Aron, unable to stand it anymore, took out his Adventurer ID and shoved it in front of their faces.
It was known an Adventurer ID could never be wrong. After all, it was a magical artifact that displayed the user's general information.
The guards were still suspicious, however, they let Aron go. As Aron was leaving, he heard the guards talking about a magical item that makes people handsome.
Aron didn't say anything. Even though he was ugly, he would never buy a magical item that makes him handsome. He needed to save money for his mother's treatment.
Aron hurried on over to his house. He was feeling awkward from the people gazing at them. Aron was used to ignoring the people who stared at his ugliness, however, for some reason, today, he was feeling embarrassed. The people also felt embarrassed as they saw Aron was looking back at them. And for some reason they started looking down at the ground and twiddling their fingers.
Aron quickly rushed to his house trying to avoid the people staring at him, however, just as he started moving, he bumped into two high school girls.
As he looked at the two high school girls, he could see their faces were flushed and were twitching nervously. Immediately, Aron thought about his little sister, and asked if the girls were okay. He thought they were sick and weren't feeling well in the hot sun.
"We're okay. We just wanted to ask for your phone number."
Aron was surprised, however, he quickly rejected them by the excuse of a family emergency. He didn't actually have a family emergency, but he thought the girls were scammers and didn't want to engage with them. After all, nobody except a con artist would try to seduce him, an ugly nobody.
Soon, Aron reached the building where he lived. He quickly rushed to the second floor of the building where his home was located.
Aron quietly put his key into the doorknob and opened the door. He didn't want to alert the landlady, since she would pester him to pay last month's rent. He just wanted to have some rest, since he had a bad day so far.
A fight with a goblin, an argument with the guards, and a scam artist.
"What an awful day!" Aron muttered.
