Ray felt calm for the first time, all of his friends together acting somewhat normal again. Once more sitting in their little corner except everyone glaring at them whispering about. Ray isn't a fan of commotion. He would always sit by the wall at the point at which the table would end, and sit up straight. Emil would stick in the corner as he was the smallest and never needed much space - plus they all would be able to corner him when studying for the test and help him out. In front of him, there would be Ollie who moved around a lot and next to him Julien either resting his jaw with his hand or laying down his head on his arms, as if they were pillows.
The same thing happened here on that table but it could never be the same again, Ray felt it and began to worry. Ollie was the first to speak since Julien showed up.
"Well isn't this quite odd?" Which alongside his body language meant, WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS HAPPENING TO US?
"Y-yeah what are we going to do now?" Emil added on in a small voice. "This is so strange, we've died only to be in high school again."
Ray thought about how is it possible that they are together again, and for what reason - but it was all blank.
"You forgot to add these bodies too - I only know it's you guys since well. I DON'T KNOW, I JUST DO." Ollie flushed red, "There were girls glaring at me on my way to class but then, I thought, maybe just maybe I'll meet you all here like back then."
Ray spoke up for the first time, We are clueless about this aren't we, he played with his hair, this could just be a world where we are meant to finish school or something-
"This can't be it," Julien spoke with all seriousness and raised up he wanted to make sure they were all on the same page. "Emilio, mi Hermano, lemme ask you a question like when I tried explaining to you, trigonometry." His face turned bright again which always scared Ray somehow.
"Ask away...Julio?" Emilio Replied.
"Do you think we would be all together with physiques of an idol group if we were to just get over high school?"
"I don't have a clue"
"Well, let me tell you that we don't even know the laws of this world. We might just take a bath and turn into mermen or whenever we go to sleep we could wake up in our old bodies again-"
"Or we could be called up as the chosen ones, Julie" Ollie butted in.
"Yes, but I'm certain that this world isn't the one we lived in, besides there's always a singilar chosen one most of the time."
Ray looked down, for what purpose could they've been possibly been here, It all seems somewhat perfect but at the same time, what's the catch?
"How do you know this Julie?" Ray challenged his friend, they often agreed on most topics but he wanted to know.
"Because when I woke up, I was in a street-"
"HOLD UP! BUT WHEN I GOT UP I WAS IN MY HOUSE, WHILE EMIL AND RAY WERE IN THE DORM" - Ollie turned loud again.
("You're being loud again", Ray interrupted.
"Sorry." He apologized)
"I think this is all staged, while you were doing whatever this weak-ass Android ran into me conveniently. She ruined my chances with this cute girl."
"Android?" Emil spoke everyone's thoughts.
"What else could she (if you can even call it she) be? She had her eyes covered with hair and her voice was of an automatic phone secretary."
"Was it in a ponytail?" To the trio's surprise, it was Ollie who asked that question. Ray had a hard time believing all of this, but there's little you can do when you are dead and your only guide is a guy who once was loud enough in a loo that you could hear him outside and the one that was willing to gamble away all of his lunch (you can guess who did what.)
"Where are you going with this Oliver?" Julien turned terrifying again, while his eyebrows flexed.
"When I got up, let's just say I was so surprised that I started screaming-"
(Of course, you did, Julien, Emil and Ray thought.)
"My new family came up and after making sure they weren't there to torture me, they said that I would scare our new neighbours. The Dad called me up to show me their daughter when she was leaving the house. It was quite strange, since how could she walk casually with all that hair in the way?"
On cue, the school bell, rung.
"Time for class lads, see you never if it turns out I'm the new double-o., or I've died of malnutrition."
While glad of each others company, they were all suffocating from the feelings and fears they couldn't let out.
