There was food at the table, anything your mind could crave was at the table, custard cake, grilled chicken, lamb, prawns, pork with the fancy apple in its mouth. Julian was not interested in the food. He had grown up fully fed not knowing what hunger felt like. His mother made sure he was fed at least 6 times a day. It made her wonder why he was still a tide skinny.
It was time to open his presents. He reached for the biggest wrapping he saw. Quickly his fingers tore through the light foil used for the wrapping. It was a toy ship, gigantic in size his mother had had it made for him. Still he wasn't impressed. He run through more but couldn't find anything that stimulated his imagination.
When he got to the last present, noticing how elongated thing that was left, he had his doubts about whether he would like the last thing.... He held it in his arms with a sad frown on his face, unwrapped it and saw a shinny Object Non like anything he had ever seen before.
