Silence prevailed until Anna returned in a minute. Her hair was still wet. She didn't like drying her hair unless she needed to, so she was comfortable walking around with dripping water everywhere.
Penelope looked over her shoulder and beckoned her forward. "Do you need a haircut?" she asked.
Anna picked up a strand of her hair and looked it over. It had grown really long and unruly. It took her a lot longer to dry her hair too. It was time she could spend on other things. She wouldn't have to spend too much time using hair products and the like, either.
"I will probably need one. It's too long," Anna sighed. This meant spending loads of time in front of the mirror and then dyeing her hair again. At some point.
"The red looks really good on you. It's your natural hair color, is it not?" Penelope asked.
Anna smiled nervously.
