She knocked on the office door and waited for the gruff voice to come.
"Come in," she heard Victor say, his voice filled with thinly veiled excitement.
She rolled her eyes before she composed herself and went into the room. She walked in and saw him at his desk, trying to look unbothered by her arrival.
"I have come to take a look at the shredding machine. Are you using it at the moment?" she asked politely. She knew it wasn't working from the paper sticking out of the top. The rest of the papers were kept on his desk, strewn across like he had thrown them down in a hurry.
"As you can see," he said in a low voice. His elbows were placed on the desk and he watched her move to the machine. She pulled the paper out and sighed. She knew exactly what was wrong with it, but she would have to pretend to inspect it. She pretended well and shook her head.
