"You want me to believe that?" Victor hissed.
Ladislas chuckled. "Don't tell me… You think she is suspicious. This one?" he asked, pointing at Anna who was busily working behind the bar.
"And you said it yourself."
"Poor dear," Ladislas taunted. "You're not as resourceful as your father said you were. If you know her name, you should know more things about her than that. Have some proof to qualify your suspicion."
Victor arched a brow. "Is that your academic training talking?"
"Yes."
"Sounds a lot like what the bartender told me this morning. How apt."
Ladislas snorted. "That should clue you in." He shrugged.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Victor hissed.
