Chapter 188 - Takeover

Aaron's mind floated around the bleak landscape of his unconsciousness as he tried to imagine what should be there, but he couldn't think of what belonged. Aaron tried to think about where he was, but all he could do was pull up. All he could see was this darkness, but he could not see any light, so how could he see grey? Well, there was a light inside his Soul. It was blacked out, but it let Aaron have enough light, without him realising, to see the shades.

Without warning, however, Aaron felt his head being kicked from the side by something. His mind inside his mind was sent flying. He looked towards the thing in his head, realising it was Soul. "What the hell are you doing here?" Aaron asked, yelling at Soul, who was smiling at him. "I'm taking control." Soul stated, running towards Aaron with the intent to harm him further. "I'm showing you what happens when you try to use for next time. Just so you know."

"I already know what happens!" Aaron exclaimed in return, watching as Soul grabbed him, trying to lift him over his head, but he was failing. It was almost like something was stopping him from moving Aaron. "This is my head. I decide the rules here, Soul. I may be unconscious, but I'll still fight you if I have to." Aaron stated, a sword reminiscent of his old sword, the Baned Buster, appearing in his hand. He hadn't used it in such a long time that its shape was shifted in his mind. It no longer looked like the original sword, but it was curved, looking more like the blade had been bent in two places, like a snake's body as it slithered on the ground.

Aaron rushed forward, Soul creating a barrier out of corruption to protect him. Aaron slid the sword through the fragile pane of darkness and continued, Soul staring at him in shock. "How?! Why are my barriers of corruption breaking?!" He yelled in confusion as he kept creating walls of black and pink substances. Aaron smiled, cutting through the walls as if they were rice paper. "I said it's my head. I did tell you that I chose the rules! My head, my game. If you can't play by the rules, you can't win. It's as simple as that." Aaron reminded him, teleporting behind Soul. He plunged his disfigured Baned Buster into Soul's back, watching as the curved blade erupted from his chest. He let out a scream of pain as he held on to the sword, trying to stop it from moving. "What are you doing?! I may be trying to take over your body, but trying to kill me won't do you any good!" Soul yelled at Aaron as he pulled the sword out. "Oh, I'm not trying to kill you, Soul. I'm just stopping you from taking control, and if that means impaling you to do so, I won't think twice about it. You wouldn't like it if somebody took your body away from you, so I don't want you to take mine." Aaron explained, listening to Soul's strangely clear voice.

"Fine. If you don't want to give me control, I'll just TAKE it from you!" Soul replied, his body becoming immaterial. "̸I̴ ̷d̷i̷d̶n̸'̶t̵ ̴w̶a̴n̷t̷ ̶t̸o̶ ̵h̴a̶v̸e̷ ̸t̶o̷ ̶u̷s̴e̵ ̷t̷h̶i̷s̶,̴ ̴b̴u̶t̶ ̸y̵o̴u̶ ̴l̸e̵a̸v̵e̸ ̶m̵e̶ ̸n̷o̵ ̵c̵h̶o̶i̷c̴e̴,̷ ̴A̵a̶r̴o̵n̶.̸ ̴Y̵o̴u̶ ̷w̶o̸n̸'̶t̷ ̴l̵i̷k̸e̷ ̷t̴h̶i̵s̷.̵"̴ He continued, his body floating up into the air.

"̵̨̫̜͛̑͠O̵̧̮̩̾v̴̻̲̩̈́e̵̦͆̍͛r̵̖̞̊͘l̷͖̙̅͌͠o̴̧̝͑̋̏ȃ̶̜̰̖̕d̷̢͔̩̾!̷͚̝͋"̴̛̼̖͆̒ He yelled, loading Aaron's mind with all the information he could ever want, but he couldn't use it, or even remember it. It was just an infinite stream of instantly forgotten information, but Aaron didn't realise it until it was too late. His mind was being overloaded, and he couldn't stop it in time. Aaron's mind shut down, and the only consciousness available, at least for a few seconds, was Soul, and he was going to take advantage of whatever time he had.

Out in the real world, Aaron's body slowly got up, acting almost like it was a puppet on strings, and that was a puppet with jagged movements. Seph looked over at Aaron's body and knew something was up almost immediately. Aaron's body didn't move so jaggedly. He watched as Aaron floated into the air, a sinister smile on his face. One that wasn't humanely possible. "Shit!" None yelled out, realising what was happening. It was something Aaron had utilised earlier. Boundless corruption, but this time it didn't seem like he was controlling it. The sky began to darken around them as the illusion of night fell around them. Aaron looked down at them, and for a second, it looked like he was back in control, but all he could do was look down at them in sorrow as Soul removed his consciousness from the control seat. Soul was now the one in control.

Dark liquid covered Aaron's body as his body transformed, losing what humanity he clung to in his human form. At least, that was what Soul was doing to him. His body turned, as his skeletal wings turned to dust, replaced by black, feathered wings, his skin falling off until there was nothing but bones. His bones changed as well, his teeth becoming more pointed and his body becoming much more violent-looking. Essentially turn Skelengel Aaron into a Satanic Cultist, and you've got this form, but entirely cover it in black paint with pink cracks.

"Are you fucking kidding me? We've had some guy running around with smog, and now we're fighting against the most unreasonably strong person we know? Well, I guess we don't really have much choice in this, do we?" Seph asked None as he sighed. "No, we don't. Unless, of course, we want to let this maniac go around and kill everyone we know, and I'm not the biggest fan of that idea. So, are you ready to try to fight that thing?" None asked, brandishing the katana in his left hand, and Seph held his sword in the right.

"You bet."
