Elise looked upon the dying body of her husband, knowing that she wouldn't be able to help him. The damage was too severe, and he was losing too much blood too quickly. She couldn't believe it. Her son had killed his father. The man she had married. She sank to the ground, as her legs fell weak. She couldn't deal with this. All she wanted to do was cry at the sight of her husband. So she did. She began to cry. A normal reaction to seeing the person you married die right before your eyes.
Steven's eyes dried up, as all the fluids in his body were drained away. He could no longer blink to keep them moisturised, so they looked like shrivelled old grapes. He was now properly dead. Aaron smirked, before actually taking note of his mother.
"Oh, did that really hurt you so much? Here, I know how to make it better..." Aaron menacingly spoke, as the dead body began lifting into the air. Aaron placed his face into where the hole in Steven's stomach was. "Hello there! It's me, Steven Stone, ready to make the world a better place!" Aaron mockingly yelled, putting on his best impression of his father. He was enjoying this greatly. Seeing the suffering of his mother was something to enjoy. After all, his main goal was to enjoy himself while he could. He was going to break the minds of the three people who were left in the room.
His mother heard him mocking her as his father, pretending to be the man she loved. She stood up, and what she saw shocked her. The man was alive once again. "Steven...? Is...is that you?" Elise cautiously asked, scared of what was going on. She had seen him die. Her fear got even worse when she saw Aaron standing behind him. Aaron placed his hands on Steven's shoulders.
As you could have possibly guessed, this was the same trick Aaron used to make Crystet's family re-appear. They were recreated with Boundless Telekinesis. Aaron had completely forgotten about them, and where was the blood from their deaths? Gone. All part of his Telekinesis. The ability to use anything to do with the mind. The ability to manipulate mental structures.
Aaron could have used this ability to make everyone on the planet his slaves, but no, he didn't, because that wouldn't be fun. As stated earlier on in this book, Aaron always had a strand of the personality he had before re-awakening his memories left in him. That personality was suppressed, but a little part always shone through. It wasn't against what he was doing, but it made him want to make this as fun as possible. Also, the swordsmanship lessons were cancelled for obvious reasons.
Clones of Steven started to appear all around Elise, all identical. She couldn't tell which one was the original. They all began to run towards her, as fear lined her face. She didn't know what was going on anymore. Her husband was dead, and now alive, and there were around ten of them? How?!
They all went and tried to hug her, but they just went through her. Like ghosts. She looked around and saw all of them but one standing still. The ones who were standing still had large holes in their stomachs. They fell back towards her, causing her to instinctively try to catch them, yet they just failed, as blood started to spread all along the ground. Blood pooled around her feet, and when she lifted her foot, she realised the blood was real. She slowly grew a look of horror on her face, as she began screaming. The final one stood still, around ten meters away from her, holding out his hands.
"Why couldn't you save me?" The fake Steven asked. "Why did you let me die?" On those final words, Aaron twisted the appearance of the final Steven, transfiguring him into a grotesque monster, with purple skin, large tumours all over his misshapen body, and with a distorted face, looking like that of a demon. All you could hear from him was "Why...? Why...?" in a horribly distorted voice.
Elise had barely any time to think about what happened, before the misshapen Steven began walking towards her, his purple, lumpy hands outstretched. She started to back up, afraid of what has become of her husband. She didn't know if he was alive or dead, and now he was like this? It was too much to deal with. She needed to check to see if it was real though, so with her eyes closed, she fired one of her swords towards the monstrous Steven's chest, expecting to go through.
The sound of metal parting flesh could be heard, as if for a second, the world had fallen silent for that moment, just for this scene to happen. A chill went down Elise's back, as she opened her eyes to see what had happened. The sword had impaled the disfigured Steven through the heart. The sword had pushed its way through Steven's entire body, landing in the far wall, with the purple heart stabbed by its blade. There was now a large hole left in his chest, where his heart should be. The disfigured Steven looked down at his chest, before looking up at Elise, with a fearful look on his face. He began rapidly expanding, before exploding in a shower of blood and purple flesh. It splattered all over Elise, who just looked down at her body in fear, and let out a large scream, as she realised what she had done. She couldn't bring herself to say it out loud, so Aaron stepped up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Well, look what you've done. You've killed your own husband," Aaron stated with a smile, looking at the trauma he was causing her. It was delightful to watch her traumatised face.
"You're no better than me."
