Chapter 82 - Realisation

The looks of astonishment on the faces of the people in the guild were almost laughable. They looked like some cartoon character after getting a shock. Think Daffy Duck/Bugs Bunny style faces. They had good reason to however, as such a strange sight was before them. A giant black monster was standing before them, with huge cyan eyes, although they were in the form of the letter 'X'. They were immediately on guard once they had over come the shock of what they were faced with, and some even tried to attack Crystet, who honestly expected it.

A man who looked like a soldier from Japan rushed at Crystet while holding what appeared to be a 90cm long katana, causing Crystet to lift up his hand, wondering how strong his skin was. He found out immediately once the sword shattered against his palm, and he didn't feel anything. He honestly wasn't expecting that to happen, but at least he knew for the future.

"Listen. I'm not here to fight. You need help, and I need to find a certain person. The cases might be linked, and let me warn you, you wouldn't be able to beat them. I can give you one reason, and it's a big reason." Crystet explained. He didn't expect anyone to actually believe him, considering that he was just attacked by someone in there.

Although, to his surprise, people were curious. A monster who wasn't going to attack them? It was string enough to completely shatter a blade made of diamonds, which meant that it was an extremely strong monster. This was due to the corrupted skin that covered Crystet's whole body, inside and out.

Let me explain the difference between Crystet and Aaron's corruption. Aaron got his corruption from a boundless ability, it was never assigned a feeling when he was corrupted , despite being boundless, so it was around the middle in the corruption feeling chart. This meant that, as Crystet was on the highest point on the corruption strength meter, as I call it, he is physically superior to Aaron, but then Aaron had his boundless abilities, the system and Sciat, so he was well above Crystet in materials.

"What do you mean we can't defeat him?" The receptionist yelled over the mumbling guild, wondering what would cause a strong monster to say such a thing about another. "Well, if the guy from your incident and mine are the same, woukd you really want to be courting danger from a person who killed half of the world with a click of his fingers?" Crystet replied, his cyan face turning into a grimace. This caused everyone who was mumbling to fall silent, as they learned that half of the world was dead. They looked around, and saw that only one person appeared to have fainted. They checked his pulse, and found his body dead cold. They couldn't believe it. They thought he had just passed out, as he was a person who suffered from randomly fainting. This was no faint though, and everybody knew he was serious.

"W...what?! You must be joking! Nobody could believe such a lie, right?!" A random lady screamed. She was unimportant, so let's call her Karen, because why not. Nobody knew her real name anyways. "Well, thanks for your enthusiasm on trying to prove me wrong on a fact, but you are lucky to even be alive right now. All of MY family are dead! So, before emaking any arguments, you might want to check up on yours." Crystet yelled out to the bitch called Karen, who put a sneer on her face, and began walking out of the door.

Wehn she got out of the door, she spat of Crystet, and he was having none of it. The second she stepped out of the door, he gave her a kick in the back of the head, sending her flying ten meters away. Everyone stood in shock, wondering why he waited, or even why he did that in the first place.

"She got what she deserved. She spat on me, so I kicked her, whilst following the rules." Crystet explained, while pointing at a sign on the wall, which read 'No fighting in the Guild'. "I AM able to read, you know?"

Everyone was just staring down at their tables at the moment. They didn't want to offend the powerful monster who was peaceful until provoked. Better stay on the safe side. "Do you know of a way we can fight that thing?" The receptionist asked, lifting her head into the air. She was met with Crystet standing directly infront of her, looking her in the eyes. She jumped back, letting out a little sound of shock.

"Honestly, no, but if me and him are the same type of monster, I could, hopefully, beat him with my Ki Abilities and physical strength. We have no idea how powerful he actually is, so we just have to go at it." Crystet answered, sighing. He knew that nobody else would even attempt going at this, but he was wrong. Somebody stood up from their table. They walked over to the receptionist's desk, and placed a bag of money on the counter. It contained fifty thousand euros, also known as a shit ton of money.

"I'm turning this into a quest." They said. Crystet wasn't able to make out their voice. It was almost as if they were male and female at the exact same time. It confused Crystet. The only other person who could do that was Aaron, but that was because he had a mask on.

Well, it wasn't for him to worry about. He just needed to get this quest started, when a female voice interrupted him. "It's no use. That fucker is unbeatable." The voice was of Luna, the King's daughter. Crystet didn't know that, so he didn't really care.

"Oh yeah? Why do you say that?" Crystet responded, trying to see what she would say. Maybe he could get some insight into the situation.

"Oh, nothing much. Just a little bit of logic and the fact that he almost KILLED ME." She screamed back. Looks like he's got a bitch on his hands.
