"You do realise that he legitimately decimated half of the world's population in a single finger snap? Your life alone means nothing in the grand scheme of things. He killed my entire family, and the entire family of my friend, who's now gone insane because of it. Your encounter with him is not one to be taken lightly. You should honestly be grateful that you are still alive right now." Crystet replied to the unknown, to him, woman, who just replied with a sneer, before starting a yelling match with him.
"You really act all high and mighty, don't you?! Well then, if you want to act like that, I guess I need to knock you down a peg or two!" Luna yelled as she lifted up her hand, a purple ball glowing in her outstretched palm. The people in the guild began running away from her. They knew what kind of power she could produce. They didn't want to be turned to ashes where they stood.
"You know, it's quite impressive that you think that you can beat me with such a slow attack." A voice behind Luna ominously spoke. She gasped, and turned around to aim the ball of energy at the voice, but it was too late. Crystet was too fast. He grabbed her face with his palm as best as he could, and slammed her into the table beside her, shattering the wood like it was nothing. Everybody around him gasped, as he lifted up her head, and let go. She fell face first to the ground, with blood leaking all over the shards of wood. The wooden floorboards also fell victim to the stains of blood, so somebody was going to have to clean that up later.
"Well? Was it really such a good idea to attack me?" Crystet asked, mocking her slightly. Kind of like Aaron, although he didn't know that. The woman turned her head, and let out a psychotic smile. She lifted up her hand, which was still charging the ball of energy.
"Purple Be-" She yelled out, but was cut off, as Crystet delivered a quick kick to her crotch area. Everyone looking instantly winced, especially the men. It may not hurt as much as it would for a man, but by god it would hurt. The ball of energy disappeared, as she began covering up her privates. A small little cry could be heard from her.
"Yeah, you aren't too smart, are you? I did ask if it was a smart idea, yet you kept on going ahead with your little idea of attacking, and here you are, curled up in pain. Dumbass." Crystet replied, not sparing even an ounce of pity for the woman. He walked back down to the receptionist's desk, where a new receptionist waited, with a face filled with horror. It was the same elf who had dealt with Luna. She had just stepped out of the guild for around ten minutes, and when she returned she found a diamond class adventurer absolutely crippled with pain and a monster made out of an inky black substance walking towards her.
"I'm here to join the quest that was put up a few moments ago. About defeating the monster who killed the King." Crystet said, staring at the elven receptionist with his cartoonishly-shaped eyes. She stared back into them, and she almost thought she saw her own face in those cyan coloured x's of his. She shook her head side to side, shaking away that notion, and pinned a sheet of paper to a board that was near the desk she was at.
[EMERGENCY MANDATORY QUEST]
[Somebody has murdered the King of Eros! We need ALL available fighters to come to the Eros Castle IMMEDIATELY!]
[Amount Issued: Hundred of them. Spread the word.]
[Reward: Unknown, as of Printing]
"Everybody!" The elven receptionist yelled, grabbing the attention of everyone in the bar, including Luna, who was still on the ground, slightly writhing in pain. "There is a new mandatory quest up! All available adventurers must participate if they are not CURRENTLY on a quest at this exact moment in time! We leave now! To the castle!"
This caused a good few people to cheer, while another ground groaned in reluctance. The like and dislike ratio to the king was 60% liked him, and 40% didn't. The only reason so many people like him was because they didn't know what he was like behind the scenes. They all thought he was a nice, kind man, but in full honesty, he was described perfectly by Aaron, although nobody else knew.
"A gluttonous fat bastard with a strange habit of wanting to kill everyone who didn't want live under his rule. Fantasy Hitler, but it wasn't Hitler". This was the most accurate representation of his personality, and he even had a little mustache to boot. Although, it was blonde, so there's a difference. Crystet could only vaguely remember what he looked like, as even though he was part of an important family, he wasn't really the most keen on stuff like politics.
Crystet began walking out the door of the guild, but before he did, he turned around, and said something. "Sorry for breaking the no-fighting rule!"
This just left everyone in the tavern in shock. They've been put through so many shocking events in such a short amount of time i wouldn't be surprised if they all suddenly became electrical outlets.
Crystet looked into the distance, but he couldn't see castle. He jumped up onto the roof of the guild, and he just BARELY saw the tip of one of the castles towers. He smiled, as he began his journey towards the castle. He needed to see if his little theory was true.
Aaron smiled, as he fianlky sat back down in his throne, and just scanned the world for any unnatural power sources, using his Mana as a basic guide. He found one source, and it was heading right towards him.
"It looks like our friend has found out where we are. We should prepare for our guests. Sciat, stand on the drawbridge, and once they arrive, deliver this message."
"They shall only face The New King if they can defeat The Bodyguard."
