Chapter 77 - Testing

"Aaron, was it really such a good idea to let her run off? She could have been a useful asset if we simply treated the situation right." Sciat pointed out. Aaron just looked back over to him with a smile on his face. "Oh, Sciat, she's already a useful asset that we've just put into play. With this, she'll be able to gather all of the people she deems worthy, and then they'll go to storm this castle, looking for me. I plan to wait out on the drawbridge I saw while flying over here and duel some people on it. I want to see if they can pose a good challenge for me." Aaron explained while looking down at his hands.

'Hey, system. Would you be able to create a weapon for me?'

[Sure, Aaron, what kind of weapon would you be thinking of?]

'Well, I need a close-range weapon, just to make myself look like a melee fighter, so are you able to make one? Something like a sword?'

[Sure! I'll make something that should fit well with your general look. Weight and torque shouldn't be a problem, so that's good. All I need to think about is a good shape for the blade. Let's see...I think I might have the perfect weapon for you! It's similar to a fantasy weapon from your world. so that makes this much easier.]

A sword began to form in Aaron's hand, having a large blade but a thin handle. That thin handle was all that was required, though and just made the sword look bigger than it was. The actual metal part of the sword was a meter long and looked quite similar to the Buster Blader from a game he used to play.

'Ah, I can see where inspiration was taken system! It's a weapon I know quite well, so thanks for that!'

[No problem Aaron! Would you like to see the hidden ability this sword possesses?]

'Absolutely! Tell me how to do it!'

[First, you may want to go outside so that you don't destroy the castle.]

Aaron, without any warning, jumped out of the nearest window, landing on the grass outside of the castle, almost falling into the piranha-infested moat that surrounded the castle. He then sprinted around five hundred metres away.

[Alright, now you'll want to do what I tell you.]

Following the instructions given, he lifted the sword into the air, yelling out the word "Earthquake!" while slamming his sword into the ground. He watched as the ground around him began to shatter as black-tinted light began bursting out from the cracks in the earth. Those cracks appeared natural, and as such, didn't magically fix itself back up.

"This is the ability to create a series of cracks in the ground, huh? What do the black beams of light do?" Aaron asked out loud, feeling comfortable talking to the system in broad daylight.

[Well, if someone other than you were to touch those beams of light, they'd first feel extreme amounts of pain and then would have the parts in contact with the light disintegrated.]

"Wow. Just wow. I didn't that it would be THAT devastating! Great job on making such an ability, system!" Aaron praised the system. He was genuinely surprised by this insane hidden ability. It made the hidden ability of the gun seem absolutely pitiful in comparison.

[Oh, don't praise me for such an easy task! It was easy to come up with such an ability! Although, it does have a unique name. It is named Baned Buster. I don't know why I chose that name, but it just felt right, considering it looked like a weapon from your old world.]

"That's alright system! It makes it much easier to identify the sword in my eyes now that it has a name. So, now, what should we do?"

[Well, in my metaphorical eyes, you should probably try to make yourself as strong as possible. Although you are already plenty strong, it never hurts to just have a little more of an advantage.]

"Well, there lies the problem. In the last life, we simply got way too strong way too quickly, and look what happened. We got ejected from that world, and now we are here. It isn't a bad thing by any means, but I just don't want that to happen again, you know?" Aaron reasoned.

[Understandable. Well, you could just wait around, and see what happens. Maybe go around corrupting things. Experimentation. What happens if you corrupt a person? Might be a cool little thing for you to test out, as it could turn out really beneficial for you.]

"Sure, I'll keep that in mind next time I'm out and about. Right now, however, I think I want to explore the castle a little bit more. Get to know the feeling of it much better. Might decide to house my opponents for a single night, and then fight them at dawn. It'll probably be the best way for me to fight them, so at least we'll be on even ground." Aaron thought out loud, figuring out what he wanted to do.

[You know, I'm surprised that you are still thinking about fairness in this situation like this. What will you do if they refuse your hospitality, which is the most likely outcome?]

"Well, that's a simple question with a simple answer," Aaron replied. "I annihilate them on the spot for being so unwelcoming of my hospitality!" Aaron exclaimed as his eyes suddenly began to glow a neon pink, meaning that he was about to fire corruption out of his eyes. He looked upwards and fired the pink lasers at a random bird that was flying through the air. The bird had its eyes melted out of its skull, as it fell to the ground, unsure of where it was going.

Aaron lifted up one hand, catching it, and snapping its neck in the same motion. He dropped it to the floor, as he began walking back to the castle.

"I wonder how long it will take for the humans to start coming for me."
