Crystet grabbed the dead bodies of his family members as he began pulling them out of the house. They'd stink up the whole place if left there for any longer. He was unbelievably shaken by this event. He had to make sure that Ray was alright later on, but he first had to discard these bodies. They wouldn't do him any good if they were just left to rot inside his home. He left them outside of his house as he went inside to grab a black bag. It would be easier for him to carry all the bodies if he could use both hands.
He grabbed a few black bags from the press in the kitchen and walked outside, shaking the bag to make it larger. He needed as much space as he could get with these things, as he estimated that only around one or two people could fit in each bag. He laid the bags out on the ground as he began to move his family members into the bags. Their skin was as cold as ice, as blood no longer ran through their skin. He had not cried a single tear since his first outburst, yet he so desperately wanted to. His body just wouldn't let him.
His mother was the first to go in a bag, and despite his first outburst, he couldn't feel any emotions, meaning that he placed his mother into the black bag with a grim look on his face. However, after he finally got his mother into the bag, he felt another emotion rising in his body. Anger. Pure unbridled anger. He wanted to make the person who did this suffer a thousand torturous deaths and then burn them alive. It was such a sudden burst of emotion, but all he wanted to do was scream.
So he did. He let out a scream that pierced the heavens, parting the clouds above him. His corrupted eyes suddenly began to glow as the corruption began to spread and change colour. It didn't turn into a black and pink colour scheme, but a black and cyan colour scheme. He stopped screaming, and looked down at his hands, and saw that they were becoming just like the ones that monster that killed his parents had. "No! Don't turn me into them!" Crystet screamed into the air, but it had no effect. The corruption continued to spread. He felt the black liquid cover his face and tried screaming for help, but his voice was silent. He accepted his fate and reckoned that this was the end for him. He closed his eyes and waited for the end to come.
To his surprise, however, the end did not come. He opened his eyes and saw his hands had turned from normal human hands to black, clawed hands. He put his hands on his face and realised that his face was the same shape as before, and that applied to the rest of his body. He looked down at his crotch area in fear, only to find that his wand of power was no longer existent. This was probably even worse, in his opinion. He rushed towards the centre of the city, looking for Ray's house. He only knew where Ray was because when Aaron was unconscious after that fire incident, they chatted and exchanged addresses.
All Crystet could hear were the screams and wails of people who had lost their families, which almost brought a tear to his eye, and he desperately wanted to help them out, but he needed to check if his friend was alright. After all, there was nothing he could do about his own family. He saw Ray's house out of the corner of his eye and went sprinting towards it, hopping over fences and running through gardens. He reached the entrance of Ray's house and found it wide open, which made him immediately afraid of whatever was going on in there. He looked inside and saw Ray sitting at the end of the hallway, rocking back and forth like an insane asylum patient muttering the words "This can't be real" over and over to himself.
"Ray...? Ray, are you alright? Ray!" Crystet yelled, causing Ray to snap out of his demented muttering, as he looked up at Crystet. "Crystet! Thank god...you...came..." Ray trailed off as he looked at Crystet's new form and was instantly reminded of the monster that killed his family. He began screaming at the top of his lungs which caused Crystet to run behind Ray, covering his mouth with his hand. "Shut it, Ray! I don't know what's going on either, but now look like this!" Crystet yelled at Ray, who began to try wiggling out, but Crystet kept him still for a second before letting him go. Ray scurried away, hiding behind one of the doorways that led to the hallway. He was afraid for his life, and Crystet couldn't blame him. He was extremely shaken at the fact that his parents died, and since he was a nice, kind teenager, it would affect him harder than others. Crystet sighed and walked into the kitchen, looking for a mirror of some kind. He didn't have his phone on him, so he needed a mirror to see what he looked like.
He found a mirror lying on the kitchen counter, so he held it up so he could see his face clearly. He was shocked to see his eyes had been replaced by large cyan X's. His mouth was almost cartoonish, looking like it was something right out of a video game. He also saw that his body had occasional splashes of cyan on him, almost like stains. Stains of what, he couldn't tell, but he felt power unlike any other surging through his body. He released a burst of power, which was noticed all across the land, even by Aaron.
"Oh? A distant power burst? This is strange, but there's one perk. We have something new to fight against!" Aaron exclaimed with excitement. Things just got a whole lot more...interesting.
