Later tonight, as Phoebe was driving me home, I got a text from the waiter I met earlier.
"Hello", The waiter greeted
"Hi, what's your name?" I questioned.
"James,"
"Do you wanna meet up sometime, like next week maybe," He offered.
"I just met you, lol," I answered, laughing.
When Phoebe pulled up at our driveway, I got my purse, and put my phone inside it.
"How was the party?" Phoebe asked, "And you're little date,"
"Phoebe, I just met him," I argued.
"Who knows, you might find love someday," Phoebe winked.
I sighed, as I opened the car door, and I walked on the pathway that led to the front door.
I saw Alex open the door, and wave at me.
"How was the bachelorette party?" Alex asked.
"I had a good time," I lied.
We went inside the house, as I took off my shoes.
I headed upstairs, while thinking about the conversation between me and James.
When I entered the room, I saw a note on my bed, so I immediately rushed to my bed to see what the note says.
Your room will forever smell fresh
Love, Phoebe
I felt appreciated and heartwarmed, as I put aside the note on my nightside. I grabbed a book from the shelf, and I walked to my bed while opening the book.
The next morning, I arose from my bad, feeling blessed and confident. I checked my notifications on my phone, and saw 3 texts from James. I opened the message, and saw they that James was asking if I'm up.
"I was sleeping, James" I replied to the text.
I went inside the bathroom that was attached to my room, and started brushing my teeth. After I spitted out the toothpaste, I walked over to my closet, when I heard a notification from my phone.
"Do you wanna meet up at the restaurant?" James offered, "Preferably Amy's italian cuisine."
Amy's italian cuisine is located a few blocks from Murphy's law offices, and I heard from my friends and a few people I know that they serve the best pizzas and pastas in town.
"Sure, what time? " I asked.
"6:30 PM"
I turned off my phone, and quickly got dressed. In my mind, I was picturing what the date will be like. What would James wear?
"Breakfast is ready!" Phoebe yelled.
I ran downstairs, and saw Phoebe placing the bacon and eggs on the plate.
"Where did Serena go?" I asked, worried.
"Serena is at the Bridal shop with one of her best friends," Phoebe answered.
Phoebe filled up the glass with orange juice, as I started eating my bacon and eggs.
"Hey Phoebe, I might not be here this evening because I have to meet up with James," I informed her.
"I knew you would go on a date with James," Phoebe teased.
"Phoebe, I'm just getting to know him," I reassured.
"Ok then, have fun i guess."
Later this evening, I picked out a rose dress, with a matching purse.
I hope James will like this dress, I thought, while looking at myself in the mirror.
I quickly snapped out of it, and walked downstairs. When I opened the front door, James was standing there in a dark suit and a blue tie. He also wore sunglasses.
Maybe Phoebe was right all along.
"Hey Phoebe," James nervously greeted.
"Hello, so nice to meet you," I smiled.
Everything about James was perfect, to his smile, and his facial features. His suit also makes him look more attractive.
We walked together on the streets, holding hands.
"So, how did you feel about the queen?" James wondered.
"I never liked the queen," I confessed, "She was an absolute disgrace to the kingdom, and she never liked my siblings."
I started to cry, as I tried to explain how bad the queen is.
"Hey hey, it's ok," James comforted me, "Tell you what, now that the queen is impeached, Mokland will be better."
"Yeah, I think so," I felt relieved, while wiping my tears.
