Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

When I entered Amy's Italian cuisine, I already could smell the delicious and mouth watering food smell from the kitchen. I also saw some people eating and talking, while there were fancy tables all around.

"Hello, what can I get you today," One lady walked towards us.

"Hmmm…" I looked at the menu in the distance.

"Can me and James have a basil leave pizza with tomatoes," I ordered.

"Sure, would you like anything else," She offered.

"I will take some water," James answered.

"I'm going to take apple juice,"

After the waitress finished writing on her notepad, she walked towards the counter.

"What is your favorite sport?" I asked.

"I play football, but sometimes I play basketball and volleyball."

"That's a lot of sports," I complimented, "I used to play tennis on a royale team back in 2016."

"I heard about Mokland Royale Tennis on the news," He recalled.

"Anyways, have you heard about the new queen?" I changed the subject.

"Yeah, it's Serena, isn't it?" He questioned.

He slowly dropped the spoon, and I felt tons of butterflies in my stomach, as he leaned closer, touching his hand on my shoulder. I felt his soft touch, as his hands trails on my arms. Suddenly, my lips started to contract his lips, as we started to kiss. His hands were touching my body, as I was into the kiss.

A moment later, we started to get up from the table, and as we walked together, I couldn't stop thinking about the moment when I first kissed him. I held his hand, and smiled at him, and he smiled at me back.

Later that night, when I went to bed, I was thinking about every minute of the date, from talking about sports, to feeling his curly hair, and his soft touch.

A week later, I got ready for Serena's wedding. I put on my blue dress with flowers, and I combed my hair.

Hey James , are you going to be at the wedding today? I asked.

James replied to my text, It's a surprise.

I didn't think too much of it, as I grabbed my purse and phone, and walked to the foyer.

"I can't believe i'm going to be the bridesmaid!" Phoebe exclaimed.

"Yep, you're going to bring the flowers to the couple."

"But most importantly, I can't wait for Serena and Sam to be the new king and queen," Phoebe bubbled.

I walked downstairs, making sure I didn't trip over my large dress.

Moments later, I saw Serena and Sam in their bride and groom outfits, walking happily together.

"Woohoo!" Phoebe cheered.

Everyone clapped, including me.

"This day will forever change the fate of Mokland," Serena smiled.

I walked to the kitchen, as Phoebe was discussing the wedding with Serena.

"Why is there a lot of stuff in the kitchen?" I questioned.

"Oh, we're going to have a feast after the wedding," Alex explained.

"That explains why the kitchen smells delicious."

"Get in the car!" Phoebe ordered, "We're going to get some Dunkin Donuts along the way."

"I can't wait to try the munchkins!" I beamed with joy.

We walked out of the palace, and a car was already parked in the front driveway.

I went inside the car, as Phoebe was putting the wedding gifts in the back trunk.

I opened my phone and went to the news site to see what's new today. News pages about Sam and Serena's wedding filled the entire news site, and a few pages were talking about how the fate of Mokland is going to change for the better.

I guess Mokland was better without the old queen.

While Phoebe was driving, I was constantly worrying if James would come to the wedding today, even though James said it was going to be a surprise.

"Hey Penelope, you're in charge of passing the gifts to Serena and Sam," Phoebe reminded.

"Ok."

Phoebe pulled over at the Dunkin Donuts, and drove through where the speakers were.

"How may I help you?" I heard the voice from the speaker.

"Hello, can all of us have munchkins," Phoebe ordered.

"Also can I have a caramel latte," I added.

"Sure, your total is 12.99," The voice concluded.

We drove to the window, and I saw a lady giving out bags to us. The lady also handed over the drink I ordered.
