Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

I walked to the other side of the palace,as I was thinking about the concert.

When I entered, the voice teacher was already waiting for me, with sheets of song lyrics to sing.

"Thanks for coming," the vocal teacher greeted, "How are you doing today?"

"I'm fine," I sighed.

"Ok. So today, we are going to sing and memorize the lyrics I printed for you," She explained.

"Ok…"

While I was singing, I kept on hearing voice cracks, but I ignored it. After I sang, the voice teacher was shaking her head, disappointed.

"You need to control the voice cracks," She pointed out.

Why should I make corrections, I didn't want to sing anyways.

"Tonight, you need to work on the voice cracks, and you need to prepare for the concert next week," She reminded me.

"Ok I will do that," I walked out, and headed towards my room.

While I was walking to my room, I bumped into Phoebe.

"Oh, sorry," Phoebe apologized.

"It's ok. Anyways would you like to disguise as me, and sing for the concert?" I asked.

"I don't know…" she nervously answered, "What if the queen finds out I was the one singing."

"It's a risk I will take," I replied confidently.

"Ok then, see you later"

"Bye."

While walking to the room, I was constantly worrying about what would happen to Phoebe.

When I entered my room, I closed the door, and rushed straight to my closet to find disguises. After 30 minutes of searching, I found the right pair of clothes, along with a facemask. I hid all the clothes in a small bag, and quietly exited out of the room. I walked to Phoebe's room, while looking around to see if anyone was watching.

When I arrived at Phoebe's room, I knocked on the door, and fortunately she answered.

"Hello there," she greeted.

"Oh hello."

"What are you here at this hour?" she questioned.

"Remember what I said about having you sing at the concert?" I mentioned.

"Uh, huh"

"Well, I have a bag full of disguises, and a few sheets of lyrics to memorize in case you change your mind," I offered.

"Are you sure you don't need the lyrics to memorize," Phoebe clarified.

"I'm not planning to sing anymore because my voice sucked," I explained.

"Oh ok, I will think about that," she closed the door.

I quickly ran to my room, and called it a night.
