We all went to sleep in the same bed that night, meeting with me in the middle and my father and mother on both sides of me, we would make the best of this night by sleeping together in peace for the first time in a very long time if it even mattered, which it didn't. When I had awoken my mother was up making breakfast and my father was gone to work already, I was getting ready for school when my mother was packing my lunch.
Off we went, my mother driving us to drop me off for school but before I left the car we tuned in to the radio station "Lips 9.27 FM" and over heard the killing a young boy, a hit and run, that was left for dead on the road. The boy was 12, older then I was but the same age as the older boys who pushed me in the hole last night, deep down inside I wanted it to be one of them, but the police didn't release the name.
When I got to school, I was late as usual, but this didn't stop me from getting to hear the national anthem, I put my bag away and pull out my books from my locker and went to class with the rest of the students.
When class was over we went on to our second class and then off to recess, that's where Tyler the grade 6 bully comes out and picks on and torments the younger grade 4 and 5 kids, Tyler came up to my face and asked me if my grandmother made my sweater and pushed me down, while they all laughed about it. But not today, today I would jump back up with my fist in a ball ready to strike Tyler's face and I did over and over again until I was on top of Tyler with a rage I've never felt before inside of me, this rage would encourage me to strike my fists against Tyler's face and skull until it was a bloody mess and I was in complete contentment with what I done.
All of the students we're in shock with what just happened in front of them and while a little girl ran and got a teacher to come break it up the teacher had never seen anything like this between two students at a school, one's pulverizing the other one's face to shreds while the other one lays there taking the bloody blows.
The teacher Miss Appleyard and Mister Lagarde ran to break it up and while one pulled me off Tyler's body, the other sat down beside Tyler to comfort him in his last few minutes of blood curdling breathing on Earth.
