Wadetre cannot get the image of Adelo's naked body out of her mind. Everytime she went to close her eyes it would fill her vision causing her heart to leap out of her chest, and her body to sweat profoundly. She felt a desire to go up to him right now and...
Wadetre let the thought slip away.
She slowly rose from her bed, taking a quick glance at Yamatar who slept across the room.
Quietly Wadetre slipped into a clean pair of clothes. She crept out of the room, then swiftly left the hut.
The moon shone brightly, lighting up the dreary night.
Wadetre felt herself being drawn to the beach. She sat herself in the sand, feeling its graininess on her bare feet. She liked the sensation.
She looked out at the sea feeling a tinge of guilt. A memory of her and her former partner flashed in her mind. She brushed it away. Her partner hated her, and they are not partners anymore.
Wadetre had not even realized that she had begun crying. Although once she had she did not try stop it. She curled herself up and let the tears flow.
Wadetre felt a hand rest on her shoulder. She looked up. Through her swollen eyes she just managed to make out Yamatar.
Yamatar sat herself down next to Wadetre, holding her close as Wadetre began to cry into her shoulder.
"Hush. Hush. What is bothering you Wadetre?"
Wadetre tried to must enough courage to speak, but her throat had become so swollen.
Yamatar waited. She did her best to comfort Wadetre until she could speak.
Eventual Wadetre seemed calm enough to speak.
"Are you ready to talk?"
Wadetre wiped away her tears with her sleeve and nodded.
"Okay. What is bothering you Wadetre?"
Wadetre shifted herself. Her gaze avoiding Yamatar.
"I miss my home."
Yamatar sighed. She had suspected as much. She herself had cried every night for the first year in isolation.
"There is nothing we can do about that. This is your new home now."
Wadetre sniffled.
"R...really."
Yamatar pulled some of Wadetre's hair out her face and held her gaze.
"Really. Now come on, you will catch a cold if you stay out here too long."
Yamatar kissed Wadetre on the forhead and helped her to her feet. She led Wadetre back to the hut where she tucked her into bed. Wadetre had no problem sleeping after that.
