Wang Lufan drove to Song Hao's apartment. It was a luxurious but simple two-bedroom apartment. The complex where they were residing was for rich people, fancy but a low-key area near the Imperial University.
He parked his car and went to the elevator. The apartment was on the 20th floor, which was able to give a nice view of the Imperial City.
Each floor has four apartments. He saw the nameplate on the wall beside a door, 'Song Brothers'. He laughed at the childish behavior of Song Qiang and pressed the doorbell.
Just within a second, the door was opened. Wang Lufan was welcomed with Song Qiang's scolding, "Brother Lufan, why are you so late! Come inside quickly, we are waiting for you!"
Wang Lufan startled a bit and then came inside. He was impressed by the structure and location of the apartment.
Just by the entry, the person will be greeted by the huge living room and a big French window along with a balcony. There was an open kitchen on the left side and two bedrooms on the right side. It was just a perfect apartment!
Song Hao was reheating the dishes and frying the chicken steak. "I knew you would be this late. Go, get fresh, dinner is almost ready." Song Qiang showed him the washroom and came out following the smell waves of his brother's cooking. He just loved his brother's cooking!
On the dinner table, three of them sat and started eating. Looking outside, Wang Lufan said, "Imperial City has changed so much." Song Qiang said, "Huhh? When? How come I didn't notice it?"
Song Hao replied, "Because it needs a brain to notice it so it's completely fine if you didn't notice it." Song Qiang rolled his eyes and the other two started laughing.
Song Hao asked, "Jokes apart, how are your studies going? And what about that presentation? Did it go well?" Wang Lufan realized that Su Yeon was also in the same university and same department as Song Qiang! So, he waited for his reply, he might hear something about her from Qiang.
Song Qiang, on the other hand, was eating like a monster. With a mouth full of chicken steak pieces, he replied, "Brother, can we talk later? I have many things to tell you but now, this steak isn't allowing me to share my attention with you."
"You mannerless person, how many times did I tell you not to speak when your mouth is full," Song Hao said irritatingly.
Song Qiang laughed and said to Wang Lufan, "Brother Lufan, this time I spare you, but next time, I want to eat your Spicy Pork Noodles! Don't forget that." Wang Lufan chuckled and said, "Yes boss, else you will kick me out of your house." Just like that, the dinner went well.
Surprisingly, Song Qiang went inside to do the dishes since he was so happy. Both the doctors were sitting and waiting for him in the living room.
Wang Lufan remembered something and asked, "Hao, you know how to hack, right?" When Song Hao nodded his head and Lufan was about to continue, Song Qiang came outside and slumped on the sofa, "I am done!"
Wang Lufan stopped whatever he was about to say. Song Hao caught that and went inside to bring a classic whiskey bottle. He came with one bottle and three glasses, just then, Song Qiang said, "I will have my regular beer," and went towards the fridge. "As you wish," said Song Hao.
When the three of them were drinking, Song Qiang started telling the things, "Haahh, now I can spare my attention to you!" Song Hao ignored his comment and said, "Spit out everything."
Song Qiang started, "Hmm... Studies… are going quite well since uncle helped me with some topics. The business model, I mean the presentation… also went well since it wasn't me who delivered it." Wang Lufan chuckled and Song Hao shot a glare to Qiang, "Why? God has given you a mouth not just to eat. Instead of creating loud noises from it, use it for a good purpose if possible."
Song Qiang pretended that he heard nothing and continued, "Brother, do you know who came as our judge for the presentation? Our uncle! I was so surprised when I saw our uncle sitting with the other professors."
Wang Lufan asked, "So it should have been easier for you if have given the presentation." Song Hao nodded. Song Qiang shook his head and said, "Hehh, I am not like Yoon Su Yeon, who can deliver the presentation without the slightest bit of nervousness! Brother you know, she started the presentation by interacting with the audience and even made jokes in between it! She is really something!"
"Who is she?" "No doubt." Both Song Hao and Wang Lufan said simultaneously but Song Hao's voice was louder. Song Qiang raised his hands and said, "Brother, it's not what you are thinking, I just compared her with me."
Wang Lufan realized his mistake and sighed. Thank God! The Song brothers didn't hear him. So, Wang Lufan also joined Song Hao and said, "But you never talked about a girl before." Song Hao nodded and squinted his eyes towards his younger brother. Just by looking at him, he knew that his younger brother didn't have those feelings for her, but still, he liked to tease this little mouse.
Song Qiang got irritated and said, "Ahh leave it. You won't believe it even if I say it n number of times. Anyway, Oh yes brother, do you know about the secretary of our uncle?" Song Hao also stopped teasing and said, "I haven't met him, just heard about him. It is said that he is the Grim Reaper of our company."
Wang Lufan said, "What? Seriously?" Song Qiang got excited and told, "Yes, he is just awesome! He is so cool! I also want him as my secretary!"
Song Hao took a sip from his glass and said, "So that you can freely wander like an underworld mafia?" Wang Lufan almost choked his drink. He looked at Song Qiang and asked, "What was that?"
Song Qiang didn't reply and averted his gaze. Song Hao replied instead, "He wants to enter into the underworld." Wang Lufan was shocked and asked, "What! Why?" Song Qiang replied sheepishly, "All the business tycoons need to have strong control over the underworld to secure their empire. So, until I become a businessman, I thought… I should start… getting involved… in this matter."
Wang Lufan said quickly, "Underworld is completely different than what it seems. Once you enter into it, your life will be at stake every passing minute. You can only survive if you have no weakness or you are ruthless enough to protect your weakness…" 'just like someone I know' he thought.
Both the Song brothers nodded. Suddenly, Song Qiang asked, "Whatever you are saying must be true, but… how do you know these things?"
