A wise lady once said. If You are always trying to be normal you will never know how Amazing you can be!
Many believe it to be a quote to inspire you to aim higher than you can attain others deem it to be a double standard in todays society.
For Sheena Oak, the quote was meant for someone to finally break the norm in society.
Like How She led her life in the University being called the Lazy Library as she sleeps all throughout the day but always comes on top of the ranking and makes it into the Dean's Listers.
This has always been the norm for her like why bother listening to uninteresting or Uninterested professors who blab about something you can just read off of the Library or watch videos about on the internet.
Most of the male population had an interest towards her since she was somewhat an exotic beauty surrounded by pale, snotty, and rich losers.
Sheena was taller than Most of the Male and Female population in the campus being almost Five-foot Eleven. She was a buxom, natural platinum blonde, whose eyes were stained by Alexandria's genesis Violet, and her light almond skin made her stand out in class.
She had what some think was adorable facial features that made her the Muse of any class she was in, her button nose was popular to some whilst her double eyelidded Almond shaped eyes made her stand out the most.
Honestly Sheena cared less about what other people think as long as she wasn't bothered in class it was a win for her.
It was troublesome to even talk to people since they either put you on the pedastal or hope to use your smarts to make their Academic lives easier for them.
The Last bell rang signaling the end of the day and the start of Spring break. She covered her ears from the incessant pissants, she calls her classmates, Bellowing like howler monkeys in heat.
The Walking encyclopedia waited for the class to leave before departing herself in hopes to avoid the crowd of hormone driven Horndogs on the campus, so she may go to her safehaven: Café La Tique, a quaint little shop that served her the best of the best (in her opinion) desserts and Caffeine filled drinks for a fair price.
Sheena had her rare smiles up front as she reached the front of the shop of endless happiness for her.
"What's New? Here it is!"
Choco Parfait au Créme ‐ ¥800
7 large A4 Croquettes with Lemon or Orange Zest! - ¥950
BoOwOaken Special! - ¥1250
The last New item made the Girl umcharacteristically giggle as it was her personal order of Strawberry Gelato on top of a slice of apple Pie, a drizzle of blue jam on a croissant, and a Tall order of Cookies and Cream smoothie.
She entered with a slam on the door and a smile. "Jii-chan!"
"Oh Shee-chan! Here for the Usual?" Greeted The wise old man who was her grandfather dearest, Hideyoshiki Oak.
She nodded as a reply and the elderly man guided her to her usual spot on the café that was next to the small shelf of books.
Sheena surveyed the area absent-mindedly as she always did.
'Nothing new.' She thought to herself until she found a familiar brown haired teen from her university. 'Oh no, Not him.'
The Brown-haired boy in question was dubbed Dullbrown, since he was always scraping at the barrel in terms of grades in class.
It was not a kind nickname but it fitted him since he was as dull as his hair-color.
'Cactus bush brown,' She recalled the hue as she painstakingly watched the boy goof off on duty writing and reading— 'wait, isn't that?!'
'No, it can't be!?' She internally shrieked as the boy lifted the papers in question and saw the title.
[Struggle and Strife volume 6(Draft #5655)]
Shenjin Publishers
by P.N. Author: Hikari Oda
Sheena narrowed her eyes at the boy as she wanted to scream, she wanted to be angry, she wanted to feel offended. The Book that dullbrown has was a Draft! A draft of her favourite Novel series, no less!
'Why does he have a draft of it?!'
She flinched when dullbrown was looking at her with a small blush on his ears and a cold glare.
It was unsettling to say the least as dullbrown always wore a mask to cover mouth and nose while being the campus clown if she remembered correctly.
All Sheena knew about him was he was a Gaijin/Foreigner, Dull, dumb, and the same year as her.
As much as she didn't like to be those who discriminate but it difficult, even with subtle actions it was being racist.
It didn't help that most parents, excluding hers since they were overseas, would teach their children to tolerate them.
Because of that most Male Gaijin left the country after an academic year while the Ladies were put on a pedestal or treated like hookers in some cases.
Her eyes widened as the dullbrown walked stood up and entered the kitchen.
Moments had passed and he had a tray over his shoulder.
Sheena gulped as the food items on dullbrown's tray was hers.
How can she tell?
Easy, since it had her special Piplup glass for the cookies and cream smoothie, and the fact that he was heading to her table.
"One BoOwOken Special, Enjoy." dullbrown said with a voice void of any excitement or energy as he sighed in the end.
"You're Dullbrown."
Sheena realized she slipped as dullbrown was now glaring at her.
Honey brown eyes winced in disgust before finishing placing the items on her table.
It sent a chill on Sheena's spine as she watched him walked away.
She heard an audible click at her right and nearly jumped off her chair.
"Jii-Chan!"
"I never expected you were One of THOSE, Shee-chan." Said Hideyoshi as he shook his head in disappointment. "Giesel's a Good kid and Author. I don't see why you'd call him that."
'A-author?!' She shrieked internally.
Hideyoshi grinned.
'No, No!' Sheena screeched internally.
