Chapter 2 - When shit hit the fan Part 2

'This had to be Bullshit Jii-chan made up. It has to be!' Sheena screeched internally as she absent-mindedly chugged the cookies and cream smoothie. 'There is No WAY he's an author!'

A few seconds after finishing her drink she winced as the cold sugary goodness of the smoothie bit her brain in the form of the accursed brain freeze.

"What's wrong now?"

Sheena winced to the direction of the indifferent tone to see a deadpanned Dullbrow— err, Giesel, who had placed a hot cup of tea on her table.

"Problem?" Giesel asked her a bit offended, No doubt about her reaction.

She shook her head and watched as the Gaijin left and return to his spot where he was reading, writing, or editing..... the Draft of her favorite... novel.

'No, no! He had to be a proofreader but what kind of author would Hikari Oda be if Dullbrown was the beta-reader!'

All this information albeit dumb was stressing her out more.

She wanted to enjoy her first day in spring break but no, this fiasco had to happen.

'Stupid Jii-chan! and his random bullshit he pulls out.'

It wouldn't have been the first time she would have been trolled by that ol' prankster.

Back when she was Seven-years-old her Jii-chan told her that goldfish pooped Gold!

Another was he taught her to eat and love the brown side of the banana telling her it was Chocolate.

She received disgusted looks from her classmates then.

She still shivers from recalling the things her Jii-chan had told her and put her through.

'No matter. I'll just ignore him throughout my stay in the café. Yeah, That'll do.' She mentally patted her back for such an ingenious idea.

If it weren't for the fact that Dullbrown was looking at her with an eye-smile, or was it a sneer?

As smart as Sheena is she has shit body language reading skills.

Atmosphere reading?

EX-Rank.

Body Language?

Yeah, She's crap at it.

Like REALLY bad at it.

There was this one time when she was Thirteen she thought a boy liked her but it turns out he was being nice.

From then on she just ignored the opposite sex and same-sex since all they do is a mess with her mind.

The Former by being nice guys or assholes and the Later Gossiping about her.

Call her Lazy all you want she didn't care enough.

Her Grades speak volumes of her intelligence.

It didn't help that she looked like one, a Gaijin that is.

Early Years of her life she was made fun of because of her looks even though she was born and raised here in Japan.

"Well, Shee-chan. Are you flustered?"

Ah, She forgot about her Jii-chan still next to her, grinning still at her expense.

"About what?" She pouted crossing her arms under her bust as she leaned back against her chair.

"Well, as Gil's employer and Your Jiji, I worry about you two, ya see?" Hideyoshi sat next to his granddaughter with a wide smile. "Most people would just ignore it but we all have it."

Sheena tilted her head obvious had no idea what her Jii-chan was talking about.

"A heart, Child, A Heart!"

"Oooooooh." She had made an 'o' face as she uncharacteristically nodded dumbly at the answer. "I don't get it."

Hideyoshi nearly faces faulted from his Grandchild's uninterested and unmotivated reply.

"Kids these days." The Older man sighed as he made his way back to the counter.

Sheena decided to shrug it off as she ate her pie with little enthusiasm focusing on its contents.

Minutes felt like hours as Sheena finished her course of sweets.

Luckily she would leave the café to walk home.

She did not take notice of the surroundings as she dodged traffic and made her way to the subway.

Without knowing that she was being followed.
