"Is he up yet?" Yung Jen asked. Gang Zhi had fallen asleep in Hao Tieng's arms. Ever since his parents he had never had shown a moment of weakness. He had never shed a tear for anyone else until Hao Tieng showed up in his life. "No." Hao Tieng answered "He's been sleeping for hours now. Is he okay?" he asked concerned about the man sleeping on his chest
"He's fine. He had a lot of anger buried inside. Plus using our abilities always makes us weak. He'll wake up." Yung Jen answered. She had called her aunt who didn't want to be here for the noisy party and told her about everything that had happened.
"Okay" Hao Tieng answered slightly at ease now. "Ummm how long have you guys been like alive?" he asked continuously stroking Gang Zhi's hair.
"About 2 centuries" a faint voice answered. Hao Tieng stopped his motions and looked down at the big baby on his chest completely powerless. "I'm gonna leave you guys alone. Lemme go get you something to drink." Yung Jen said slipping out the door.
"How do you feel?" Hao Tieng asked helping Gang Zhi sit on the bed.
"I'm weak." Gang Zhi said. " Are you afraid of me?" he asked. Honestly Hao Tieng didn't know if he was scared or not. He didn't know how to feel about everything that happened last night. Was he happy that Gang Zhi almost killed his brother for him? No, but the gesture excited him.
"I don't know." Hao Tieng answered nervously. "I know you won't hurt me." he added. Hao Tieng's answer calmed Gang Zhi's conscience. He didn't mean to lose control but all the jealousy and anger he had kept in inside was at it's peak. It was time he told the only person who has had any power over him the truth.
"It all started in the late 1800s." Gang Zhi started to explain. Hao Tieng knew where this was going and just sat there listening to Gang Zhi explain everything.
"I was young and a fool. I was angry at my parents and decided to run away for just a few days. I just wanted to know what freedom felt like. Then few days later my friends told me that my family was looking for me everywhere so I decided to let them find me. I stood at a wonton stand knowing that they had told my parents where I was and on our way back home my aunt called , said she had found something weird about our family history. I nagged my parents all way home and just when we were about to reach. I saw a wolf outside my window literally standing there running at the same pace as the vehicle. I told them what I had seen but they didn't believe me so we started arguing again and then they were gone. Just like that. I swear the truck came out of nowhere. It's all my fault" Gang Zhi said, tears rolling down his eyes.
It really was a sad story. Losing your parents like that. Hao Tieng moved closer, placed Gang Zhi's head on his chest and tried calming him down. "It's not your fault Zhi." Hao Tieng said. " You didn't know the truck was going to hit them."
After a while Gang Zhi finally calmed down.
"I'm gonna go look for Yung Jen she sai...." Hao Tieng said letting go of Gang Zhi but the CEO didn't let him go or talk.
" I'm fine. I just don't want you to leave me after you know everything I've done." Gang Zhi said.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm just going to get you something to eat." Hao Tieng said with a smile. He really didn't want to leave Gang Zhi but the man was weak and he was a bundle of emotions right now. Hao Tieng just wanted to hold Gang Zhi until he was his old- cold-self again.
"No , Let me first finish telling you everything."
"You can tell me another time. Your still weak. First get some energy."
"But I want to tell you. Please just listen."
Hao Tieng silently obeyed.
"After the accident my aunt freaked out and sold our families' souls(becoming vampires) to some weird family just opposite us. There were rumors that they were evil and I case it was true. She sold our souls for immortality, speed, seeing the future. They're many more abilities I guess she did it all so that no one else in our family died but Ofcourse everything has consequences. No matter how many abilities we got they was one thing we hated about ourselves but we needed it to survive... We needed blood to live. Yes, we are immortal but we needed the blood to control our abilities. I killed so many people and animals. I drunk blood till I couldn't anymore. After I realized everything I had done, I switched off my humanity. I didn't want to feel anything." Gang Zhi said looking curiously at Hao Tieng's face.
Hao Tieng was very good at hiding his emotions. He didn't show anything outside yet inside he was filled with emotions. He felt sorry for Gang Zhi.
"Is your humanity still off?" he asked
"No." Gang Zhi answered. "The day I saw you in my office. That's when it came back. Your the reason why I decided to switch it back on Hao Tieng." he added.
Hao Tieng stretched out his arm and looked at Gang Zhi with a smile. He was happy that Gang Zhi shared this with him, being the reason that Gang Zhi switched his humanity back. "Drink." he said
"What?"
"Your weak Zhi. Drink from me. I want you to."
"I could hurt you."
"You won't. I know you'll stop."
Gang Zhi lowered his head and stared at the enticing vein before piercing his fangs into Hao Tieng's hand.
Hao Tieng thought it was going to hurt but it was the exact opposite. The Bliss that came with Gang Zhi sucking at his arm was unexpected. He felt like he was floating on a cloud. It was better than sex. Better than anything he had experienced.
"What is going on here?" someone asked.
They both turned to see who it was . Gang Zhi immediately withdrew himself from Hao Tieng's arm. "Aunt" he called out.
"Who is this? Do you know the consequences of your actions? You know you can't control yourself when you take blood straight from the vein. You!" his aunt yelled at Hao Tieng.
"Whoever you are, I want you out of my house right this very second and I don't want you anywhere near Gang Zhi."
"I'm sorry Ma'am but I can't do that. I can't leave him. I want to be exactly where he is." Hao Tieng said
"Your an impostor. Gang Zhi's just using you. Whatever he promised you or told you is all a lie. Yung Jen!!!!" she yelled. "Take him out of here and make sure he doesn't remember anything about Gang Zhi."
