Chapter 43 - Season 1; A Teacher's Lecture And The Chosen Martial Arts To Learn.

The Sage Clan, unlike many, possess more than one martial arts taught by direct descendants; The Royal Martial Arts, Imperial Martial Arts, Laplace Defend Mechanism, and Zodiac Star Constellation. These four practices were invented by Sage Ancestral.

Although the Imperial & Royal Martial Arts were taught to individuals who didn't belong in the Sage Bloodline, they were still the property of Sages. But those people who've learned the arts were high Royal/Imperial Knights or Guards. Meaning, not just an ordinary man/woman could study the arts. One must receive recognition from a Commander, possessor of a martial book, preferentially someone higher than a Commander, or directly from a Sage.

In the Kingdom of Laplace & Sage, there are fifty copies of Martial Arts Book, both Royal and Imperial. Some high ranking individuals like an Army Commander owns a copy of the Martial Arts book, either Royal or Imperial. They are the people who choose somebody with a knack to wield a sword to protect and become a shield, or someone who wields a sword ready to bloody their hands.

Anyhow! Since we are only deep in the topic. Might as well learn about our first Martial Arts that we will be learning. Just the basics, okay? The Sage Royal Martial Arts. Lowest among the arts created by renowned Sage descendants.

Although lowest among the arts, it is still as dangerous as the others. Perhaps more alarming in some expertise. Thus, intellectual Sage descendants created a solution to limit the possessors of the arts. In all of the Kingdom Laplace & Sage, there is only thirty-four martial book, excluding the twelve histories, which Commanders, or higher positions, hold.

These "Commanders" are those who choose aspiring knights with talent and teach them the ways of the art. But with this great opportunity comes great responsibility. Knights and Warriors trained in the arts are appointed to royalty or VIPs, perhaps even foreign guests. Unless given the decree of resignation, one cannot be free from such responsibility. But that only implies low-birth commoners and those who learn the arts despite unrelating to Sages.

Meaning; If you are a Sage, such as his majesty, one does not need a royal decree nor imperial. That goes without saying for a descendant prince or princess, or perhaps in-laws. But the only difference is, his majesty does not require an Emperor's Decree, unlike princes, princesses, relatives or in-laws. Like your highness's situation, his majesty gave you a decree by handing the histories to you. Moreover, appointing me as your professor.

And since you have possession of the martial arts full copy, you are the one who decides who gets taught who.

Let me discuss the Royal Martial Arts. The Royal Martial Arts are divided into three book sections, each with different teachings. Resistance Retribution, Drive Footsteps, and Assault Path. And the general difference between each is defence, footwork, and offence. Resistance Retribution teaches an individual to counter an attack or soften an impact. Drive Footsteps trains one to footwork and flexibility to enable them to perform the attacks. Assault Path focuses on offence techniques and knowledge.

And since I am always prepared, I asked a few prominent generals to lend me a book to teach one the basics of a battle. I found exceptional books like "If There Was No Other Option," "Key to Self Defense," "Know Their Intention," and "Mechanics To Understanding Your Enemy." Which will all, by the way, be your homework for the remaining time of this day. Along with a few other books that were already sent to your chamber.

And that is all for today's discussion!

"So, are we going to have a quiz, or something, tomorrow?" Lawrence asked.

"Great question!" Chas answered. "Since I'm sure you already know most of the basics, we'll immediately proceed to your crucial training."

"What do you mean?" Lawrence frowned.

Chas smiled, "Get ready to pack your things. Because tomorrow, we'll be going back to the Apple Lands!"

"H-huh?"

"Not in your Villa, No! We'll be far from your villa. We'll be going to Ropruece Lands then Mountains. We'll have a mini camping experience with just a few tools to survive. Of course, we'll be bringing some handymen, like Eugene here." Chas explained eagerly.

Eugene frowned, "I'm not a handyman."

"You will be," Chas countered.

"Well! Class dismissed, right?" Chas smiled and left Lawrence and Eugene.

Eugene stared at the processing Lawrence and spoke, "It's not like it's your first time staying in the woods for a few days, right?"

Lawrence sighed, "You're right. I've stayed in the woods and practically slept there. It's just that that damn teacher is so random and unpredictable."

Eugene picked up his sword and aimed at Lawrence, openly grinning.

"It looks like the prince is in need of a serious spar." Eugene dashed towards Lawrence.

Lawrence used basic movements to avoid getting pierced by Eugene's real sword. Furthermore, changing their positions by moving behind Eugene. Lawrence took a grasp at the opportunity in front of him and kicked Eugene from behind, hard as he could.

Eugene groaned. "What a proper way to greet someone charging at you." he mended himself. "Allow me to top it up a notch." Eugene's eyes scorched in excitement and anticipation.

Lawrence smirked. "Gladly."
