Chapter 9 - Season 1; To See A Sword Technique For The Longest Of Time.

How was I to explain this? I awoke, disturbed by the sounds of clashing swords. Of course, I immediately stood and lost my balance. It was reflex, you see. But It seemed my body could not keep up, just like how I try to sound perfect, but my tongue still tangles. The carriage was a blur. I could see the flares of the fire burning outside the window. Estella? Estella wasn't inside the carriage. That worried me.

I wanted to move and go outside. But my exhausted body was hard to control. It was as if forcing myself to run after running continuously for five hours. It wasn't as bad as before! But why now? Why is it hard? I growled.

My vision was blurred, but I saw the flick of light that came outside of the window, and my heart started to race, and sight started to clear, and my heavy body started to ease. It was then when I stood, reclaimed my balance, and opened the door. There I saw, a knight fighting against an ugly creature, with both axes in its hand, clashing against the mighty sword of the knight.

I was astonished. It was a beautiful dance-sword dance. It made me ask, what was it that made the sword swing beautifully? Was it the wielder who puts so much emotion in each slash? Or was it something similar to what I had used as FitzChivalry? Was it Mana? My body realized the familiarity. Yes! It was that! My body strengthened, excited, and allured.

I stepped down the stair of the carriage, one, two, three, there I was, standing on the ground as I stare upon the great fight stance, movements, and everything else. It was different, accurate. And it was professional. I was at lost in my thoughts, and all I could is the sound of my heartbeat.

Then I was shocked by the voice that echoed in my brain, "Your highness! Go back inside! It isn't safe here!" who was it? Ah, I remember. Gavin. It was Gavin. The leader of the knights, assigned to escort me back to St. Apple Villa. I snapped out of the trance.

"Where's Estella?" I mumbled. Then I scanned the area to look for Estella. Gavin had seven foes. His other three comrades, including this knight in front of me, all in all, had 5. But I don't see Estella. I moved to the opposite side of the carriage saw her.

She surrounded herself with water. It was like a protective barrier, which protected her from the outside but isolated her senses from the outside. The water sphere that surrounds her was moving horizontally and vertically, in a circle motion.

I knew that even if I shouted harder, she wouldn't be able to hear me. She has around thirteen foes. But it felt as if she could do it by herself. There were floating water spikes, continuously aiming at the enemies. But it was thick enough to deal exceptional damage.

What was she doing? There was nothing I can use, no wooden sword nor a twig that can serve me. What was I supposed to do? How can I help her? The stones! I picked up some rocks and threw one at one of the creatures. It grunted, shifting its focus to me.

I felt the ominous feeling around him, forcing me to step back. What was he? Now that I realized it..., these creatures..., what are they?
