Reiji arrives near the village entrance. He decides to go to the inn first. reiji walks past the gate into town. In town he passes stalls with food. The people just having a good time.
Reiji thinks to himself.
" how can they laugh, and be happy when a bunch of them go missing every week?"
Reiji walks into the goblins refuge which is the inn for this town. He walks up to the counter and sits on a stool. the bartender is a large man 6 '4 about two hundred eighty pounds.
The man glares at reiji then speaks.
"what can I do you for room, food or drink. Your not from around here. I will just assume you need a room." Reiji nods and asks.
" How is everyone so happy right now? I heard people are going missing every night or two."
The bartender grabs a glass and starts cleaning.there is a reason who knows when it will be their turn. Why not be happy?"
Reiji looks on while drinking what was put in front if him. "Well I guess you are correct. Do you have a room for rent?"
The bartender says "10 gold coins and you have it until you decide to leave." reiji blinks at the price.
"10 gold are you insane?" the bartender just shrugs.
"You know people are dissapearing, and that's why the price is the price. If you dissapear tommorow i will have to clean get rid of stuff and a lot more quickly.: Reiji nods and pays the price without further questioning.
Reiji tosses his pack on the bed and summons Lilith. Lilith goes around the room clicking her tongue. " This doesn't seem like a room fit for you master." reiji smiles
"well it may not seem like it but it is more comfortable for me here than in my own home. im glad you aren't insisting on what caldus said. you know about the contract being a marriage thing."
"But that's technically what my contract is reiji."
Reiji groans and tries to think of what to say but is too tired.
"Let's just sleep Lilith." lillith nods
In the night a shadow appears at the window peering in one red eye shining in the dark. looking in it claws the window causing the sleeping person to stir. Suddenly they burst in shattering the glass the shadow stabs a knife into the bed. but nothing is there but a pair of gauntlets. the shadow looks around confused.
[???] I know someone was just here. could they have used a skill.
tap tap the shadow is tapped on the shoulder.

the shadow turns around and reiji punches them in the face grabbing onto their collar.
The hood falls, and the shadow is revealed to be the bartender. Reiji grabs some rope smiling as he ties the guy up to the bed post stripping him naked. the bartender is yelling no the whole time.
" let me take a guess as to why you were attacking me. you wanted my money right?"
The bartender doesn't move or talk.
reiji sighs and calls to Lilith. she forms from the gauntlets beside the man. She looks royally pissed off.
" Master can I skin this man alive, and feed his entrails to pigs?"
Reiji shakes his head " Lilith we need to know why he is here."
Lilith cracks her knuckles " so I can just break his manhood then?"
reiji smacks her butt she blushes rolling her eyes. " geez this isn't play time you know."
The man sees this isn't going to end well. he bites down. Poison released from a capsule causing him to foam from the mouth.
The man dies so reiji redresses the man. when he does he finds a map, and a key in his pocket. obviously the man didn't think he'd survive torture after we found the map, or his boss is a hardass.
Reiji goes to put away the map and they both decide to just pick another room. they find one with no windows and decide to sleep there.
The next morning reiji awakens to Lilith pacing around.
"What is it Lilith? why are you pacing?"
"There is another living weapon here, and it is a strong one. it will be a gard battle with your current state master. we should leave just forget adventuring. forget the guild master, and his rules." Lilith says grabbing onto reijis hand.
