Chapter 166 - So We Meet Again

Isabelle

My vision was blurry as I opened my eyes. The only thing I remember is arriving at the plane, then my mind goes blank after that. I have no doubt I had either been given something or been knocked out so they could easily transport me.

I looked around the room, it was dark and dingy and smelled like dirt. A mix of nerves and anxiety began swirling inside of me and I felt my chest swirling inside of me. I could tell this the last place I wanted to be right now.

The door opened and I immediately recognized Mr. King as he entered the room with the guy who had pulled me off of the street. There was a flash of darkness in Mr. King's threatening eyes as a smug grin spread across his lips.

"Ms. Avildsen." He spoke my name as he came closer to me. "So we meet again. Such a shame that it has to be like this."

Gulping, my eyes watched him as he now stood in front of him. I didn't even dare to move, not that I really could if I tried. There was a chain hooked to my ankle that was keeping me bound to the room.

Mr. King knelt down so that we were now on the same level. "I bet you're wondering why you're here and what my intentions are. Right?"

I responded with only a slow nod.

"I have a few reasons." He replied as his eyes looked up and down my body, clearly checking me out without hiding it. "One of them happens to be for business reasons, and the other may be for my personal use. I'm undecided at the moment."

I could feel my stomach twist and I felt like I was going to get sick. I had an off feeling about Mr. King from the previous interactions, but now it's confirmed he was up to something and I fear that it may be worse than I thought.

"See Isabelle, your boyfriend crossed one of my best friends." Mr. King stood up and took a step back. "Now that I have you at my mercy, we can put things back in order and my dear friend can get his life back. Isn't that right Jude?"

My eyes moved away from Mr. King and to the other figure that was entering the room. My blood ran cold as my eyes recognized Jude Tunt. I could feel the bile trying to rise up in my throat but I forced it down as I tried to remain in control of myself.

I shouldn't be surprised by this, of course it would be a Tunt behind this. We should have known better. There was no way they were going to take such a loss laying down. They must have been waiting until we had a distraction to keep us busy, like the bakery and it's opening.

"Damn, you're much more stunning in person." Jude commented as he stepped in front of me. "No wonder why he had such an easy time picking you over Elise. I would have done the same myself."

I raised a brow, confusion had started to emerge. "I thought you and your sister were an item?"

He responded with a deep menacing laugh. Then he took another step and looked me right in the eyes.

"Sister? Only legally, that bitch was adopted. And we were never an actual item, we were never supposed to be." His face twisted with a mix of disgust and animosity. "Elise and I had a good thing going, fucking when we want but there were no strings attached. Then Sterling fucking Tipton found the truth and ruined it all! He exiled us, making us lose everything we worked for! On top of that Elise figured since the secret was out we could go public and I'm running out of excuses to fight her off. She's breathing down my neck and I'm ready to wring her fucking throat."

I could see the rage in his eyes. He was not holding back as he allowed his true feelings to continue pouring out of him.

"The best solution I can think of right now, is to get my life back." His eyes remained locked with mine. "I need to take down the Tipton's, that's where you come in. Damon and Sterling need to be dealt with once and for all and well… I know they'll come for you. Then we'll deal with them. I'll get my life back and Mr. King will no longer have to answer to them. I've even sweetened the deal, he can keep you as his new toy or sell you like he does the rest. Your fate is up to him the moment Damon and Sterling are no longer breathing."

I pushed my anxiety as my anger bubbled to the surface. "You won't get away with this! You won't win!"

A taunting smirk curled onto Jude's lips. "I guess we'll see if you're right."
