Chapter 167 - Let's Move

Sterling

The moment the jet landed I could feel the determination taking over me. My father and I headed right into a car that began to head towards the address that Ronnie had provided. Behind us the guards followed, they were to remain close and be on standby so that we had the chance of getting King comfortable by allowing him to think we're alone so he thinks he has the upperhand.

It's the best way to get his guard down.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" My father asked as he watched the surroundings passing us by.

I nodded as I answered. "Yes."

We came up with a simple and efficient plan. We just needed to get in and get to Isabelle, once she was out and secure then I have no problem facing King.

The car continued driving and as we got closer I could feel the darkness inside of me taking over. It was the same darkness that filled me when I first dealt with the Tunts, except this time I don't mind the chance of it going too far.

This time, I'm embracing it.

Finally, King's warehouse came into view and the car stopped. Taking in a deep breath, I exhaled as my father and I got out of the car. We stood there for a moment and I noticed he was watching me, waiting for me to make my first move.

"We've got an entrance cleared for you." Ronnie quietly informed me. "They're not suspecting anything, yet."

"Let's go." I replied and began to follow Ronnie with my father at my side.

We came to a heavy metal door where one of my other guards was standing by. He carefully opened it up and my father and I stepped inside. We crept down the hallways, careful to not make any noise.

I could hear some voices coming from a room. Looking at Ronnie, I jutted my chin in the direction of the voices. He gave me a nod and walked over to the room so he could peek around and see who was there.

He then looked over at one of my other guys and motioned for him to join his side. All that I could do was listen as they took the ment out quietly. I had to let them take the lead, I couldn't risk King's men hurting me before I even had the chance to reach him.

Ronnie stepped out of the room and waved us over. We moved swiftly and entered the room where King's men now lie on the ground. I noticed monitors set up in a room, they were showing another room in the warehouse but what caught my eye was Isabelle. She was sitting in the corner of the room with a chain wrapped around her ankle.

I could feel my blood boiling as I moved closer and looked at the screen. Heavy agitated breaths began to leave my body as I clenched my fist tightly. Then, another movement caught my eye and I noticed Mr. King straight away.

"Let's move." I ordered as I eyed the only other door in the room. "Now."

Marching over to the door, I slammed it open and entered the room where Isabelle was being held captive. My father was right behind me and let the door shut. Ronnie was still in the other room, watching on the cameras. I needed to buy enough time for him to get the rest of the guards in the building and then I could act accordingly.

"Well, look at that." Mr. King sounded almost amused as a smug grin crossed his lips. "We were expecting you, about time you showed up to get the poor damsel in distress."

My eyes moved away from him over to Isabelle on the ground with a gag in her mouth. There was a look of relief on her face, but it didn't last long. Her eyes shifted to something behind me and before I had the chance to look back, I felt two of King's men grab me.

I looked over and noticed two others holding my father back. His expression remained stone cold, not letting anyone know what was going through his mind. I followed his lead, if I acted too confident on this then King's guard would be raised.

"I told you. I was expecting you." Mr. King walked toward me.

I glowered at him, letting the anger build as I was being held back. "Why? Why did you take her?"

"Why?" He raised a brow. "That's something that my guest of honor can answer better than I."

I looked over to Isabelle, she's the only person in the room that could be considered a guest. But the only thing I saw on her face in response was a look of worry. It was enough to make me realize that clearly King means someone else.

Then, as if he could sense the confusion inside of me, Mr. King calls out a name I'm all too familiar with. "Jude."

Out of the shadows Jude Tunt stepped into the light. A surge of rage shot through me as I looked him in the eyes. I thought I had made myself clear that he needed to stay in line, but apparently not clear enough.

"You son of a bitch." I seethed through gritted teeth.

"So, we meet again." Jude spoke as he took in the sight of my father and I held back. "It was hard making it look like I was behaving, but I still managed. Thanks to King's help I was able to get away and well, here I am."

I tried to make a move toward Jude but King's men yanked me back into their grip. My nostrils flared with each agitated breath as I was forced to look at not just one enemy, but two.

I glanced over at my father out of the corner of my eye. He remained silent and expressionless, but by his balled up fist I could tell he was angry.

Mr. King took back over the conversation. "I'm judging by the fact no one's come in to save your asses that you came alone… or your guards have been taken out by mine. Regardless, it was bold to assume you could storm in here and have this go your way. Now I have to figure out what to do with you two next."

A dark and menacing laugh rumbled through my chest as I looked King right in the eyes "No King, what's bold is you standing there and making assumptions. You may have been prepared for me to come for Isabelle but I'm no fool."

His brow raised as he watched me closely. He was starting to raise his guard again, which made it clear that now was the time for my men to act.

"See, you always need to think steps ahead of your enemies." I raised my voice, making sure Ronnie was able to hear me. "I'm a fucking Tipton King, and everyone know you don't mess with the Tiptons."

Less than a second passed and our men stormed into the room. A few of them quickly took out the guards holding us back while others went right for Jude and Mr. King. I watched for a moment, and then I stepped back and ran over to Isabelle to wrap her in my arms.

"Thank god you're okay." I spoke softly as I held her tightly against me. "I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you."

Her voice was low and full of emotion as she responded. "Thank you for coming for me."

"No need to thank me." I pulled my head back and looked her in the eyes. "I will always be here for you in your time of need. I promise."
