Jin walked through the halls of the barracks towards his dorm room past the hordes of pilots and other base personnel, the sun had been setting for one Martian day and he was finally able to take a breather. In fact most of the pilots on base were able to do the same as Jin noticed many beside him dressed in a similar fashion as him, wearing t-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, etc.
As he arrived at his room he turned to his left to notice three female pilots watching him, each of them smiling and waving in his direction with their faces flustered. Jin simply returned a smile as their giggling grew slightly louder before walking into his room and closing the door.

Jin sat at his desk and turned on the Norio tablet beside him. His room resembled one similar to a college dorm but with more advanced perks and space. It featured the typical amenities all pilots were given, a bathroom with a shower and sink, comfortable bed, a desk with a tablet for personal and business use, an HD smart TV embedded on the wall and a window with a view of the Martian surface outside.
Hanging from the wall over his bed were two flags. The flags of Japan and the Russian Federation, the latter of which symbolizing his ethnic Russian heritage.
On his desk were three photos. One of him and his mother Aiko and Katsumi standing beside him during his graduation ceremony from Norio. The second was a much larger family portrait of him and the entire Matsuura family all dressed in kimonos. The last was one of him and Emma smiling, siting together at a campsite in Siberia, during their time in Russia.
Jin place his tablet on a stand and opened a live video chat, the frame then came into view showing Emma back on Earth inside of a house. She smiles the moment Jin appears in view.

Emma shook her head. "
Emma turned her video frame over to show Jin's grandfather Yasunori, dressed in a kimono and sitting down. He gave a smile and light wave.

Jin nodded at the comment. The two of them continued to catch up for the next few moments before their talk shifted over to a more important matter, one involving insurgent activities near Japan's coastal lines.

Jin laughed at Emma's comment. "
Emma looked away from the video call for a few moments and nodded at a figure behind the camera. Her expression went from happy to serious, causing Jin to raise an eyebrow.

Jin nodded. "."
Emma smiled once again with blushed cheeks, Jin's heart skipping a beat for a moment at her cute appearance.

Jin ended the video call before turning on the TV overhead. He switched to a Japanese channel back on Earth discussing a recent insurgent attack on a government sight in Japan. The attack was kept to a minimum with Norio security forces killing the terrorists involved. Eventually the sun had fully set and, after contacting and chatting with Katsumi for a while, Jin went to bed.

The faint sounds of footsteps were heard marching outside of his door as Jin slowly rose from bed and let out an exasperated yawn, the Martian sunrise peering through the shades of the window. Getting out of bed and cleansing himself from sleep, Jin placed on his service uniform and left the room to work.
After heading to the training area for daily inspection he met up with Takeo and much to his surprise, Nio, outside one of the hangars housing jets.

Nio's eyes narrowed at Takeo's comment as he took slight offense to it.

The three of them simply chuckled before heading off towards the dining hall for breakfast, once they arrived they sat and ate for a while before continuing onto their days work.
