Jin followed Emma pass the gate that separated their location from the rest of Japan, the two Norio security guards at its door giving them a salute. He'd been dressed in his black and red service uniform with only a service pistol at his hip, Emma had wore the uniform of her research commission consisting of a blue zip-up jacket with the commissions logo on the chest, blue pants with yellow highlights and blue shoes.

The two of them were met with the sight of blue skinned men and women with pointed ears walking back and forth, each of them dressed in suits and dresses that matched the atmosphere of the room. An office area filled with computers, desks, and other things an embassy would have.
Jin had been at the Embassy of Astrea to the United Nation on Earth, the diplomatic mission of the Astrean government to humanity located in Kasane City, Japan. Established sometime after humanity first came into contact with the Astreans this building served as a central hub for Astrean government workers on Earth to communicate from, conduct diplomacy from, and combat the Xenos from.
It also served as historical value of the two races and a reminder of the many great things the Astreans had given humanity. One such was their introduction of interstellar travel to the world, and the formation of the Astrean-Human Joint Strike Force, the interspecies military alliance between Norio and the Astrean military.

The two of them walked through a narrow hall pass several Astrean government workers and analyst who directed them to a large door, with the Astrean government seal on it. Jin gave it three knocks before getting the clear to walk in. He was met with the sight of a table with multiple chairs, several couches, walls containing Astrean paraphernalia, and a single desk beside a window with a view of Kasane.
Standing by the desk was a tall, young, and beautiful Astrean woman dressed in business attire, a blue skirt and black stockings with a blue dress jacket and long cyan blue hair. She looked over to Jin and Emma with a smile.

Yuri, a government official from Eos and the Astrean ambassador to the United Nations and humanity. Jin also acted as her liaison between her and the Japanese government. As the sister of his girlfriend he couldn't help but feel friendly towards her.

" The three of them sat at the long table at the center of the room where Yuri then placed a small rectangular device at the center, a holographic projection of a poster appeared. One depicting an event happening in the coming week where a United Nations summit " Jin tilted his head in confusion for a moment as if what Yuri said had simply blown by him. " " Jin stood up from his chair and walked towards the window, looking at the view of Kasane City in the distance he simply nodded. However he mentioned that there would most likely be cameras and journalists there, Jin wasn't too keen on the idea of being on TV. " " " A smile plastered itself onto Yuri's face as she glanced over towards her sister. " "." *** The summit building in Vienna was surrounded by Norio security forces armed to the teeth, with guns, armored trucks parked around the perimeter, and combat drones flying about the area actively scanning the area. Outside behind police tape were civilians, news crews, and other journalist reporting on the situation. Today was the day of the Astrean governments visit to Earth, a number of officials arriving on the planet through as Astrean spaceship used for exploration. This was a milestone for the UN as it was the first meeting in which the president of the Astrean government would be in attendance. The room was just as big as the general assembly in New York with the UN symbol at the front, and all member state flags flying. At the front of the room beside the two long tables draped with blue cloth, stood the United Nations and Astrean flags side by side. Desks lined the room with walkways that led to the front of the assembly, news cameras recorded the conversations happening for the outside world to see, and all exits were guarded by Norio security. Yuri and the rest of her embassy staff had all dressed up in business attire for the event, adjacent from them were the leaders of the UN and their cabinet, including the Secretary-General of the UN Yuna Iwasawa. Across from her was Karen Izuna, President of the Astrean government from Eos, alongside her cabinet. Jin stood in between the two parties communicating, in this case Yuri speaking with a UN representative on a Xeno spotted around Jupiter's orbit. He'd been dressed in his formal military attire of Norio, a uniform similar to the ones worn by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Meiji era. A black tunic with golden buttons and black pants with red highlights, gold shoulder pads and the Norio symbol on an armband. " "Yes." a UN diplomat from England replied. "That was the recent report. Furthermore we lost two Norio squadrons during the discovery and some of your own as well, a number of Astrean pilots were seemingly killed. Including a group of asteroid miners from a space corporation." The two parties had gone silent for a moment. " The UN assembly looked at on another for a few moments in confusion. Jin looked down at Yuri who gave him a smile and nod. He knew what she was about to suggest to the humans. " " Jin closed his eyes and smiled as the representatives of both sides gasped in surprise and chatted amongst one another, an order of silence was soon demanded. Yuri continued her speech. "Since humanity clearly lacks the firepower we have in terms of orbital-based ships, despite that amount of alien technology you guys found a while back, I think it would be a step forward with this. This is how it would work, you have squadrons of Norio stationed to one of our carriers which patrol your solar system for a certain amount of time, and in that time the pilots of both sides grow close." " " The UN representatives chattered amongst one another for a moment as the cameras around the room continued rolling, photographs being taken and journalist recording the session. Jin tried his best not to look at the camera as they panned around the large chamber as he wasn't exactly photogenic, and continued to maintain his composure. " All eyes, cameras, and microphones instantly turned onto Jin as his eyes widened and heartbeat rose, he looked around the room frantically as he tried to mutter the words to speak. Jin took a deep breath as he collected his thoughts before giving an answer to not only the chamber, but all who were watching the live event from the outside. " Silence followed. Jin looked down to his feet. After what seemed like forever the sound of applause then filled the chamber. He let out a sigh of relief as he looked down at Yuri who flashed him a smile. "." Karen said standing from her seat and walking towards the secretary-general. " " The two leaders smirked before shaking hands, officially coming to a resolution. The camera flashes grew more intense this time around with the president of the assembly demanding order and the Norio officers within the area trying to maintain the peace. Jin breathed a sigh of relief as if he'd accomplished some difficult task and hoped he helped his girlfriends sister. "I hope my mom didn't see this." Jin said to himself. "She'll never let me live it down." At that moment Jin was called to the front of the assembly hall by Yuri who stood next to the secretary-general and Astrean president. Standing in between the two ladies dressed for diplomacy Jin looked back and forth with a confused manner. " "." she replied. " Jin smiled as he faced forward standing alongside Yuri and his fellow Norio pilots and other officers. After taking another photograph, secretary-general Yuna and Astrean president Karen both signed the newly written security treaty that laid on the table. The two then held it together for one final set of photos for the journalists. *** " " He had been inside the Astrean Research Commissions headquarters within Kasane's business district, the old Japanese style work office had long been converted into something that would fit the commissions tastes and views. A row of computers in the center of the room with a larger desk by a window with a view of the outside, and the walls covered with photos and posters of planets, the ocean, and the world. Jin had decided to stop by after returning from a practice drill and had nothing much to do for the remainder of the day, Emma of course was more than happy to have him. Especially when she found out he'd brought donuts for not only her, but the rest of her team inside the room. " Emma roller her chair closer to him and ran a finger up his leg in a seductive manner. " " " The couple looked at her teammates and simply laughed. Eventually Jin had to leave again for work and, after kissing Emma goodbye, headed back to Kasane air base.
