I got down on one knee and carried the soul eater in my arm carefully. Half of its horn had disappeared and the rest looked to be dissertating away the same way. Its once yellow eyes were now wild and black like the energy it had sucked out of Raphael.
"Get stronger" I heard a loud deep voice say in my head. For the first time, I didn't need William to explain things to me. I knew it was the soul eater talking.
"You have been kind to me and the only way I saw fit to repay your kindness was by ending my own life." His speech was followed by a loud, hearty laugh. It didn't sound like something, rather, someone that was afraid of death. It sounded quite accepting of it.
'What Kindness?!' I wanted to yell back at it but, my sobs were too loud for even me to voice out.
