Guy stares up at Captain as Lieutenant 2's ashes blow away in the wind. Guy is bleeding, sweaty and breathing heavy.
"I could have helped," Lieutenant 1 says to himself.
Captain however doesn't seem upset at the out come.
"Let's get this over with," he says.
Captain jumps down from the tree, landing softly on the ground in front of Guy, "I was told humans were weak, but I'm starting to learn that you're all very interesting."
"It seems you Elfs haven't spent very much time around humans or even alive," replies Guy.
Captain nods his head, "That's true."
"It's not in my job description to care, but I am curious why your Elf army is here and where you came from," says Guy.
"I didn't come here to answer your questions. I'm here to kill you so I can't get back to my mission," Captain replies.
"Far enough," says Guy.
Lane runs through the woods alone, she is looking around searching for something. Finally, Lane looks to her right and slides to a stop. In an open part of the woods Lane sees Guy standing across from Captain. She did what the mystery man told her and went back for Guy.
Lane gets as close as possible without getting spotted, and ducks behind a tree.
"He's fighting some one different now," she says to herself.
Lane glances up and notices Lieutenant 2 on top of the tree, "there is another one, he must be a Lieutenant, he looks exactly like the other two."
Guy notices Captain still has the Magic book on his hip, "So Captain, you plan on using Magic too?"
Lane's hear perk up, "That's him, Guy is facing the Captain!"
Captain looks down at his book and takes it off his belt, "no, I won't need it."
He pulls out a single Magic page and throws the book up to Lieutenant 1 who stumble to catch it.
Guy points at the magic page Captain pulled out of the book, "I thought you said no magic."
"This page holds my sword," Captain holds his hand over the page, it flickers with energy and
out of the page Captain pulls out a red sword.
Captain looks blade, he hasn't seen it in a while, and then he lowers it to his side.
"Finally a far fight!" Guy shouts as he charges in at Captain.
Guy closes in and begins to swing at Captain, but Captain doesn't attempt to block. Instead, Captain moves around Guy's attacks. Finally, Captain spots an opening and attempts to side kick Guy, but Guy catches his leg.
The force of the kick blows up dust.
"He's fast," Guy thinks.
"He's strong," thinks Captain.
Guy pushes Captain's leg away and tries to slash him across the chest. Captain dodges just barely, and out of frustration he swings at Guy.
Guy tries to jump back, but he is cut across the chest.
Guy lands on the ground a few yards away from Captain and feels his chest, he is cut, but it's not that deep.
"The fight with Lieutenant took its toll on me. I can barely keep up," Guy determines.
Captain sees a little bit of Guy's blood on his sword and flicks it off.
"Looks like it's time to use the power," Guy looks up at Lieutenant 1, "hopefully he'll be too scared to fight me after I kill the Captain."
Guy lowers his sword and closes his eyes.
"What is he doing?" Captain wonders.
"He's going to use it!" Lane says under her breath as she watches from a distance.
Guy takes a few deep breaths and relaxes, he opens his eyes, all he can see is a pitch black void. Suddenly memories of Guy and Bear as kids begin to flood in.
"Ignore them," Guy thinks.
But suddenly the memories begin to shift, and Guy begins to see new memories, "what's happening?"
The new memories are of Lane and Guy traveling and fighting together.
"Lane? What is this?" Guy asks.
Outside of Guy's mind, his hands have started to glow with energy, and it begins to travel up into his sword.
Inside his mind, Guy continues to see memories of Lane, and outside his mind his power grows more than usual. The energy envelopes his sword and travels up his arm and to his neck.
Finally, Guy begins to focus, "No, you can do this on your own!"
The memories disappear, and outside Guy's mind the extra power fades. He is back to only powering his sword.
All this has happened in a split second, leaving Captain confused, "He doesn't have a book, this can't be Magic."
Guy opens his eyes and looks up at Captain, his sword is glowing with energy.
Lieutenant 1 shouts from the tree top, "sir, do you need the book?"
"No! Whatever this is, I can handle it," Captain replies as he takes a defensive stance.
Captain waits for Guy to attack, he blinks, and when he opens his eyes Guy is on him. Guy quickly slashes at Captain's neck, but Captain moves out of the way just in time.
"He's faster!" Captain thinks to himself.
Guy continues his attack, forcing Captain to block.
"His hits are stronger too," Captain determines.
Guy does let up and continues to push Captain back. Captain can't keep up and accidently leaves himself open. Guy quickly chops down toward Captain's head, but Captain quickly lifts his sword up and blocks Guy's down swing.
Guy grits his teeth and pushes down with all his strength. Captain is struggling to keep his sword up and uses his free hand to support it, but it's still too much and Captain drops to one knees.
Guy's arms begin to shake, and the point where the two swords meet begins to glow.
Captain begins to struggle, finally he lifts the hilt of his sword, angling the tip towards the ground.
Guy's sword slides off of Captain's sword like a rocket into the ground, and the energy from Guy's sword causes a huge explosion.
Lane covers her eyes as dust and smoke fills the area.
"Did he do it!?" she wonders.
From atop the tree, Lieutenant 1 also can't see, "Captain?!" he shouts.
The explosion fades and the dust slowly settles. Finally, Lane and Lieutenant 1 can see, and they spot Guy on one knee in a crater. His sword has lost its glow and is stuck in the ground. Lane continues to scan the battle ground for any sign of Captain.
"No," she says in disbelieve.
Captain is alive, he was thrown across the open area by the force of the explosion.
Lieutenant 1 shouts down at his leader, "sir, are you alright!?"
Captain gets to his feet and looks over at Guy surprised. Guy tries to stand up, but falls back to one knee. He is completely drained of all strength and power.
"What was that power?" Captain asks out of breath.
Guy stumbles to his feet and lifts his sword up to fight, "like you said before I'm not here to answer your questions, I'm here to kill you."
"You still plan on fighting? You can hardly stand up," Captain replies.
Guy grits his teeth and raises his sword. Captain takes a calming breath and collects himself. The two fighters charge each other.
Captain easily side steps Guys attacks, he knocks Guy's sword away and then back hands him to the ground.
Guy stumbles back and drops to his knee exhausted. Captain is sure he has defeated him, but Guy gets back up.
"You human don't know when to give up," Captain says.
Guy swings at him again, but this time Captain pivots around Guy and slices him all the way up the back.
Pain shoots through Guy's whole body. He drops his sword and falls face down in the dirt. A pool of blood forms around him.
