Chapter 1 - Urgent Request

Huff..huff

what a rough day I had today, even though she said it was an urgent request, does it really need me to go right away? the main branch is at capital god dammit! it doesn't go anywhere!

*sigh*

I'm tired, better prepared for a night soon as the day clearly became darker. "Here, eat this Henry" as I gave my companion a hearty meal for good leg work for a day.

"must be hard on you eh?"

*munch*

"Don't care as always eh.."

*munch*

*sigh*

after setting up a tent and a camp, I gave myself some light portion as I not in the mood right now to eat and get ready to get rest for the night.

As I lay down next to Henry, I stare at the box that Lisa gave me at the office back then.

"Don't even think about peek in it you hear me! It have magic imbued with it and god who know what will happen to you if you not careful" as I remembered before she explained (babbling) some others stuff that I already know.

seriously that girl, but don't even peek it huh? it does make me wanna do it if you said that much, pretty much everyone will doesn't it? it will became devil's whisper that constantly try you to answer that curiosity.

But if it magic imbued? Hahaha my devil's whisper already left after he hear that word. As I already had first-hand experience, I really know how dangerously magic will do to you unprepared.

noted, unprepared. Yes if you prepared well, the whatever magic that was imbued is well safe to handle. For example, the box that I currently holding. The box is magically imbued for protection from unauthorized opening and will trigger whatever traps that caster imbued with it like self detonate. But if you just tossing or holding it normally, it pretty much just regular box you see on the market.

The thing that was protected in this box must be really important then huh? I stare longing at the box for half a night before tiredness bring me to sleep.
