Chapter 3 - The Request

"Can you help me sit..." the old man ask sickly

"s-sure.." I quickly help him sit comfortable near tree and give him some water

"Thank you...now lad, listen to me..." the old man pale face became serious as he stare straight at me into my eye as if he command me to listen to him.

"listen, I will die tonight.. don't panic.." he said to me as he saw my distress and halfway taken potion from my pouch bag.

" It's inevitable to die, but my time came shorter than expected.. anyway, here I will give to you my grimoire and all ask for you was to sent this to my granddaughter..."

the old man proceed to take out a beautiful necklace with pure white crystal embedded to it.

"Take this and sent it to her... can you do that?" the old man show sincere smile with hopeful expectations as if that serious gaze of him earlier never exist.

"But whose your granddaughter old man?"

the old man smile wider and quickly wipe his tears that already gather

"Haaa... I'm glad you doesn't have any others intention" the old man smile still linger on his face as he continue.

"Just bury this body after you see me okayy, young lad" the old man smile happily as he other hand begin to glow green.

I stare in confusion as the old man muttering something weird and at his action which he raise he green glow hand

"Thank you :)"

*slaaaapppp*

"Your ID and payment"

I quickly show him my Adventurer ID and give him a silver for entry payment at the capital of Polowa.

That's right, I already arrived at the capital and quickly on my way to the main branch of Adventure guild with my trusty buddy, Henry.

I barely arrive on time because of that damn old man, and speaking about old man, he dead as the time I wake up from his green glow slap.

I buried his body at nearby the camp site and take all of his things as I think it probably what he want anywhere. You said how do I know? from the slap of course. The slap sent me the pain and as well as other information which is his will.

one of his will was to bury him alone, so I did what he ask and I take his equipment. It's a win win situation right? well anyway I doesn't get to see in to detail yet as I was rushing here after burying the old man.

The request took predominant at my list of priorities as if instinctively. Maybe from all the training they force me to attend, my body begin quiver quickly whatever a request is not fulfilled perfectly.

"Damn, I pretty much became their dog huh?"

Anyway, the pay was good and the request is not that hard so I forgive them this time. As I continue to walk to familiar road leading to my destination.
