Winter knew no matter how strong he was, he can't dodge a bullet with his current level and what more they had three more people with AK-47 and one of the burly guy even had a machine gun on him which made him think twice from fighting head on . He didn't want to get shot by behaving recklessly
Winter asked while pretending to be nervous
"You guys are not here to rescue us ?"
The middle aged captain shook his head and solemnly said
"Even we are stuck here and waiting for our death . How can we rescue others with our current situation!"
Winter deliberately said in sad tone
"Yes we all stuck here now . But do you guys have any information about the apocalypse causes "
The middle aged man hesitated for a while but remembering his current situation he said slowly
"I'm only just a captain of the small squad so I don't know what's the real reason for the apocalypse but I overheard secretly that the apocalypse is just the beginning and only by awakening abilities can make us survive this disaster "
Hearing this he knew that this person don't know anything about inside news so his position must be quite low in military. When he wanted to ask something more a painful sound stopped him from speaking . His direction immediately looked at the source of the sound .
"Ugh...."
A 25 year old man was clutching his hands while panting heavily from exhaustion . Beside him the two female doctor were treating his wounds but their serious face made that the situation is critical.
The middle aged man immeadiately went their and asked
" What happened?"
One of the female doctor replied fastly "Captain his wounds are treated but he need nutrition to get recovered or else the situation may get worse "
A soldier at that side couldn't help say in despair
"We only brought some little bit of food and we left it at our checkpoint except guns and medicine we don't have food ."
The captain face didn't look good now he could only try to think another solution .
Winter heard what they were talking and soon a idea appeared to him which made him took out some canned foods and a water bottle . He walked towards them which attracted the attention of the group .
Seeing the food in winter hand the captain eyes shone but he began to frown afterward . He felt that this survivor is a bit odd which made him unrest because this person didn't have any aura like him who have ability but how did he cross those zombies hordes if he didn't have any ability ?
Did he hide somewhere inside the hospital and come to us after seeing us ?
Its impossible because we searched whole building and we didn't find him at all ! That's mean his ability or level is higher than me or the zombies didn't attack him when he came here .
Even through the zombies didn't attack him too when his team entered the hospital but that terrifying zombie with four hands killed 11 members of our team and they luckily escaped by their sacrifice . This made him suspicious of winter and his guard raised immediately when he saw coming towards them .
'I better hope he dosent have ability and not have any malicious intent towards ur or else if he had ability then we are doomed'
He secretly thought in his mind and he showed a smile while changing his attitude towards him.
"Sir what do you need from us?"
The other soldiers also surprised and looked at winter with doubt and awe gaze. They never heard our captian speaking to others like this .
Winter was also surprised but he showed a smile and handed the foods to the captain while saying
"Since we all are stuck here and you guys are hungry , I will share some food with you guys"
The captain was taken back and started to examine the box secretly to know whether this box are tampered or had poisoned !
But he didn't find anything wrong and embarassed he could only say with hot face
"Thank you for your generosity"
He hurriedly gave the food to his team and told them to take care of the wounded soldier . When they were busy doing their work, winter observed through their data's to see what's their level was ;

As for the others they were all level 1 and 2 with no ability awakening but one of the female doctor info made him secretly astonished.

ABILITY : WAVE CREATOR ]
Regretfully he couldn't understand how their ability works are else it might be easier to decide their moves in fighting . The female doctor Natalia had high level than the military captain which made him doubt about her origin. Because even through she was wearing the doctor coat but he didn't find the city hospital logo on her and also she had a aura of some rich family lady so he knew that she might be working with military . But this doesn't matter to him cause he need some information about them and the resources he needed for the HEALING POTION.
Captain grock held his hand to shake winter hand and introduced himself after handling his work
"I'm grock field from #B camp and these are all my team members ...we had six more but when handling our missions we lost them . Let me tell you I'm a ability user and level five too which made me as a captain to the team as for the rest of them sadly they don't have ability "
Hearing this his eyes gazed at the direction of the Natalia , seeing her also looking at him he immediately pretend that he was looking somewhere else .
'looks like there is something fishy going on here'
.but he is here for others buisness not to meddle with other secrets so he immediately said to captain grock .
" It's feel nice to have abilities .sigh ! But captain can you do me a favour"
It's time to get some information !
Hearing the 'favour' captain face was frowning but he still asked somewhat indifferently
"What is it ?"
Winter ignored the indifference tone but said in curious tone
"Captain I heard in radio that government are constructing some bases to gather all survivors and fight one last battle against zombies . Is this true ?"
He heard it in 3 days back ,when apocalypse arrived all network services were wiped out but the radio signal was still ongoing which made it as now somewhat communication between government and survivors . One day he was randomly tunning the channel and he heard the radio announcement of the government which made him curious about it.
Captain grock hearing it was just some information he calmly said
"Yes we are all already establishing the bases and as I told I'm from the #B base . We are now recruiting ability users and even if you don't have ability you can be a soldier too which aslo includes benefits and your family can stay there with you too ."
Winter noticed something from the conservation now . Those without ability may have high status and for those who have no ability they are all just Cannon folders . He didn't want to go towards such a place because he has his own STRONGHOLD and his ambition is to get some high status in a base , he wanted to be a boss of his own territory not a worker as he thought about it his eyes flashed with a cold light .
